I downloaded the trial version of this product back then when I still had my desktop but never got to learn how to use it. Now, am back and this time its for real. hehehe … am learning, using the various quick guides the site offers and I love it. Hopefully I’ll be able to use it to design my newest project.
Yep, thats it … am learning how to use Expression Web and later on try out the other Expression products … I got 60 days to practice before my trial period runs out.
Alright, so am a computer junkie, a net addict that I spent literally almost 24 hours a day infront of my notebook during my rest days and leaves. Loser eh?! Not quite I love doing what am doing and thats what matters, but the thing is am stupid when it comes to the techie aspect of the pc. So during that time when my notebook wont boot, I was at a lose and had to ask a friend to fix if for me. So when this other friend of mine asked me to build a PC for her I was like … what?!!!!! Are you nuts? If only this is the states where there are kits for building computers complete with manuals and pictures on how they’re s’pose to look like then I would gladly do it. But doing it from scratch like buying the parts and all … hell no! Don’t even know how to select the parts much more build it.
Right after shift I went home to get my notebook and head back straight to the office, well not inside the office but outside … hehehe … we can’t bring notebooks inside the production floor unless you’re some big shot in the account. Anyways, I was waiting for Roy downstairs, he said we’d meet up at 9AM. So I was there enjoying my favorite past time of all … observing people … I could write a whole deal about what I’ve observed but thats not for this post … so I was there and I saw a couple of colleagues and my boss. My former team lead who’s another music addict, coffee lover and in short rackista. The only person I can talk to w/o malice, w/o hesitation and restraint. The only downside is I have to speak English and Filipino all the time (up till now, he still can’t understand my native tongue).
We talked a good deal, he accompanied me there in my wait for Roy, he informed me he just lost 18 GB worth of music as the IT peeps were reformatting the pc. I knew it meant a lot to him, thats 4 years worth of music and even I, music addict though I am, could not beat to that amount of music. On my notebook I only got what, 1.80 GB of music files hehehe … he also told me how crucial his IPOD is to his daily living. The same way this notebook of mine and my new boyfriend are crucial to my wretched life.
Soon Kathy and Glenda arrived, Kathy’s like my older sister who like Mitchy worries about me every now and then. Glenda used the be the agent I always run to when I was new to taking commerical calls.
It was way past 9 and Roy still hasnt arrive so the three of us (Daddy Joe had to go back to the floor) went to Jobee and had breakfast. I was at the losing end as they kept on teasing me with our common friend to the point that Glenda texted him that I was with them. *sigh*
Daddy Joe had to reiterate he left because of someone and now am gonna make him cry again. Duh!!!! That was one topic we never talked about by the way, not that am interested in bringing that up but I’ll never be as refined as her or be as elegant so him and me … hahahaha … out of the picture.
Anyways, Roy did arrive and am thankful, we went to Starbucks and he taught me how to use Flash. Right, so after giving up on programming and web designing and what not … now am back.
Am back and am excited and scared at the same time. Oh well, at least Roy’s around to back me up.
I’ve always wanted to go to Vegas and experience their rush weddings, I mean I know weddings ought to be well thought of, everything planned out but what if while vacationing there you’d meet someone who knows you off your feet and makes your head spin at the same time causing havoc to your emotions? That then and there you would decide to get married without going through the hassles of wedding preparations. So as I was in this state of mind wondering how it’d be like was searching for a Las Vegas hotel, like a potential candidate should I decide to get married then and there.
Oh well, this is just another wishful thinking and it’ll come to pass.

Was watching French Kiss earlier for the nth time and out of boredom I searched for it online. Not only did I get facts on the movie, the stars, and the whole production details I also get as a result French Beds … duh!!! Must have been cause of the keyword French but was astonished with I found. Exquisitely styled beds fit for a princess, they’re all so elegant and felt like royalty should I get the chance to sleep in on one.
Moulin Noir bed, valbonne rattan, french belgravia, chateau bed and so much more, looking at them seems like they’re all calling out to me to buy them enticing me with images of how wonderful my sleep would be in them. Arrrghhh … even if they ship to PI (am dreaming!!!) the price are all in euro and that’s twice the rate of the dollar.
But in fairness, I believe the price is worth it. A beautiful sleep in an 18th century caliber bed is worth all the euro its priced for, especially for me insomiacs like me. Informative thing I ran into from their site is a series of tips for those people having difficulty sleeping. One is Develop bedtime ritual, hmmm … the only ritual I know of when it comes to sleeping is toss and turn. *sigh*
We meet up. I get to meet a former colleague and his aunt and my team mate was there. Over coffee we talked about the details and am overwhelmed by the confidence they have on my capabilities when I, myself am currently treading on shaky grounds on the aspect of what I can do. Its something simple and though I don’t have proper training, aside from the short term course I took way back, I think I can pull this off. To be honest am even excited. I mean I want to go home now, sit in front of my notebook and get on with it (obviously am typing this at work). Am I making this my escape goat from my present work? Probably, but the important thing is I got something challenging in my hands, I look forward to the date I could show them even just a draft of what am about to do. My 3 day vacation leave was disappointing at first glance but later on it gave me the opportunity to work on the many tasks I continually put off, even launched a new site and am quite excited about how things are gonna work later on. I got so much to do that am confused on which ones to begin first. People asked me how my vacation went and when I answered them I was just at home working with my notebook they’d give me that blank look and I pity them for pitying me. Right now, the very thing that’s keeping me sane is the life that I have established online.
Alright, so before I got this job am currently into which happens to be my first job ever, I went to a free training course somewhere here. It helped me a lot get the job I have now, I mean the trainers were really good, the training materials were extensive and up to date, the environment was so conducive to learning and the crowd were enthusiastic about learning, it was a training on conversation skills, culture and there was a bit of Sales Courses. It was a pleasant experience, matter of fact I met two of the close friends I now have there. Warren and Lil Gurl, was thankful for the experience really, though Warren’s not working in the company Lil Gurl and I are currently working but we still have that constant communication. So after all am blessed that day I attended the training, not only was it my ticket to this job it also was my ticket to a good friendship.
So we didn’t push through with the meeting last night, I texted my team mate and was told that they were going somewhere that night and to meet up tomorrow. I breathe a sigh of relief at least I get to put it off for another day, so I spent the whole night working on various opportunity tasks for this blog and for the others I have. And this is where I get high, I mean I love every minute of it, I think its where am good at. All throughout, it made me reconsider for the nth time to go full time, freelance, get on with the story I’ve been meaning to write but never had the guts to start and give up my other job. The job thats giving me something to look forward to every 15th and 30th.
*Sigh* … I know I shouldn’t, but the temptation is oh so strong. Grrr … would better get on with my day then … I’ll be back to work tonight … and can’t really say I look forward to it.
I’ve always wondered how philanthropic services work, now that I intend to start my own charity (gosh … can’t even afford my own car) but would like to get involved not in the financial aspect but in the services itself. Just placed down the second of the Shopaholics series I’ve recently grown addicted to, and its hilarious and I love every page of it. Every time Mitchy and I went out she kept telling me am a shopaholic which is not good. I do have this tendency to buy things on a spur (not clothes) but am nothing close to Becky, I know where I stand financial wise. Its just funny how am able to relate to her at times and how Mitchy thinks she shouldn’t spend more and more time with me in a mall cause am contagious.
So this is how I spend my leave, cried bucketfuls the first day and realized it wasn’t a wasted leave after all. I get time to clean my closet (I’ve been meaning to do it for ages) get rid of bags I no longer want to use, talked to friends I haven’t spoken to in ages, finished off my reading, and most importantly dealt with the various tasks and earned cash in the process.
Chatted with a colleague last night while I was working on one of my assignments and there was urgency between the lines and the long overdue project would I think be put into order. Was torn in between, to commit or not to, though I have specified straight off that I don’t want any payment for this job … its a hobby for me and I find contentment in having it appreciated by others.
Am excited and scared altogether at the prospect, I don’t want pressure and at least I was given the assurance that there’d be none. So … to start things off … I’ll be meeting them tonight.

- Mitchy likes James Blunt very much especially his hit song, You’re Beautiful, was downloading songs last night when this artist came to mind so I searched for him and downloaded almost all of his songs. This one caught my ear and am hooked, he’s coming over to Manila this May, hopefully by God’s grace I’ll be able to watch his concert. Crossing my fingers for luck.

Alright, so my aunt is always on the move what with the nature of her work, that I got several phone numbers of her in various parts of the globe. But the frequent number I use in calling her or in sending messages would be her Australian number which she has set to roaming. I almost complain to her about the charges incurred cause of course they are directed to me, so now she’s referred me to this site which sells international phone cards which are by the way cheaper compared to the local rates here. So did a search for Australian phone cards applicable if am calling from the Philippines and got results that were cheaper than what I expected.
Did recommend this site to a friend who’s in the US and is initiating phone calls to the Philippines almost everyday as her family’s here.
This coming Sunday (March 2, 2008) would be the baptism of our first godchild, and all of us are excited. I mean who wouldn’t be? and all of us are quite clueless on what gifts to buy as this would be our very first time ever to become godfathers and mothers. Was chatting with a friend earlier, my soon to become kumare, and she was asking me the same thing, what gift to bring. And I’ll be wearing a dress, OMG!!! me in a dress? Can I just wear a skirt and a blouse then heels? No dress pls … I still have to talk to the others and see if am alone in this anti-dress predicament, otherwise I’d cross my fingers and …. for the first time (excluding proms and christmas parties, I wore gowns back then) since I was five I’ll wear a dress.
Right after Thanksgiving, after the turkey and the wine and all that, the next holiday to look forward to would be Christmas (with Mr. Claus and all the caroling) and thats when people would start the holiday rush of gift shopping for relatives, friends and for everyone else. I think not everyone knows this but the day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday and there’s a site that help show people they can save a whole lot of money when shopping for Christmas by buying items during Black Friday, right after Thanksgiving.
I know Christmas is still far off, I mean its not even Summer yet but its better to be prepared to avoid the rush and end up forgetting a couple of other things. Can no longer count the number of times I’ve shed tears today, I don’t usually pity myself but right now, am just at my lowest. People talking about their families hit me straight in the head, couple of times I thought I heard her voice calling me, or at the mall I saw her standing with her back facing me only to find out it was just someone almost similar to her. Went home late, made me realize I can stay out all night for all I care no one’s gonna look for me, I basically don’t have any reason to go home. When Mitchy asked if am gonna buy groceries inwardly I said I got no one to buy those groceries for.
I keep a happy facade at work, for the sake of those people who care, for them not to worry about me. But I can’t keep the facade 24/7, I crumble when no ones watching.
Am just waiting for that day, that blissful day, where she’ll realize am better off with her than here and then we’ll be together.
I woke up one Sunday morning and logged in to check if I had any mails online; nothing. So I walked to the nearest convenience store to buy some newspapers; it was a Sunday and I often make it a point to get my daily dose of what’s happening around in the country. I saw an ad about buying my own house.
I’m still young, but I need to think of the future already; knowing that we will eventually settle down in the future. Then I remembered about a fellow blogmate’s advice about applying for a Mortgage to be sure that I have something to look forward to. The good thing about it is its convenience. You simply have to complete a form about yourself, wait for a call from a financial agent, and then you simply get a free quote! That’s it. I’m definitely going to read thru it to ensure that I get the most out of this investment.
Was thinking of getting a life insurance for myself as I’ve heard that this would come along handy to me in the future. Aside my own personal savings according to friends and colleagues it’d be nice to have sort of investment and that I can get an insurance for as low as 3USD per month. Whew!!! I didn’t know that. So was checking online for this info and see what else I can gather, seems like this is kid of rate not only applies to adults like me but there are also children insurance which is quite cheaper, 2.49USD per month. This would be nice for parents and its a reassuring fact knowing that as early as now you are giving your child a financial head start.
Its the 24th of Sunday, and after a month or so of waiting its finally here. We’ve planned this last January originally to Bohol but then due to the cost we opted for Malapascua. I know I’ve had so many disappointments in life thats why its a wonder this one still hurts, I guess all of them would always hurt.

first: coz seems like am the only one looking forward to this
second: coz of the bad weather and though we’ve decided on an alternative she doesn’t seem interested
third: because with the current emotional state am in … seems like everyone has deserted me and I got no one else to talk to.
I keep praying for mom to just … just take me away. Misery has been my sole companion lately and am afraid I’d crumble any minute.
A wanted to do buy and sell, she has been bugging me about it for quite sometime, our dilemma is on which goods to buy and sell. Also how much capital we would need, I mean it would totally depend on what items were gonna buy and sell. But I was thinking that should this go big which I hope it would we’re definitely gonna need Small Business Financing to assist us. Am sure she wouldn’t mind after all its for a good cause, for our soon to become business. She does the selling and I do the buying … after all am not much of a PR person.
Quality of Care. Quality of Life. This was the tag line that caught my eye when I saw website. As usual, am doing my wanderings online searching for this and that using words that first popped into mind. So I find myself opening up my browser and going to google (as always) and searched for nursing homes. What triggered this was the conversation I had with a friend and a former classmate since elementary (we parted ways in college). She’s now a certified nurse and she’s planning abroad to practice her profession there. According to her she has read various reviews of skilled nursing facilities in multiple states in the US and has made her application to several facilities.
What inspired her more to work there is the fact that her grandparents (fathers side) are living there together with several cousins and aunts. Nursing is never the course for me, I mean I puke seeing little blood so you get the picture, nonetheless a lot or should I say more than 50% of my friends took up nursing right after we finished highschool. Some of them shifted to other courses later on, while others am happy to say succeeded in their chosen fields.
Maybe I did maybe I didn’t I could no longer recall but I recently applied for leave (again!!!, if they’ll trace all my approved leaves, they’d probably just ask me to resign…toinks) on March 9 to 11, filed for this just last Saturday (Feb. 23). Checked with Mark (the teddy bear) earlier but what’s plotted was for April 8 to 11, am not sure if I filed for them or not but the leaves I applied for on March 9 to 11 are hopeless. Out of nowhere I found out that Maroon 5 would be coming over but since the tickets are priced quite high I settled for Incubus, the concert would be on the 9th which is a Sunday.
Vic’s RD fall on Fridays and Saturdays so he asked me to fly over to Manila on Friday and return back home (where exactly is home? on another entry some other time … I side track again … grrr …) on Monday. Mentally I already made arrangements on where am gonna stay, checked on plane tickets online and on hotels I could possibly stayed in. I know I don’t have to worry about that coz am sure he’ll look one for me.
Now with my leaves disapproved … no more concert for me. *sigh* when I told him my VL’s were disapproved he asked if we could possibly watch Neyo instead, told him I won’t be able to file for leaves on those dates as they’re already filled plus I don’t really like Neyo …
