Often times in the sidewalk of the downtown area where I live there are lots and lots of display of original movie posters with sizes ranging from 8 by 11 to those huge wall sized ones. The posters they have are not limited to movies, I mean they also have posters of movie stars and music artists to choose from. Now online I ran into a site offering a collection of such posters but what they offer is not limited to those posters, if you are setting up a theater either for business or just for home use they have the furnitures needed to set you up not to mention popcorn machines too.
Am so engrossed reading the Shopaholics Series by Sophie Kinsella that right now my mind is full of people having issues juggling their finances. I mean lets face it not all of us are earning that much to totally avoid debts, like Becky I know of a couple people who shop and shop and then would have problems later on when the bills arrive; I do have the tendency to shop around but I make sure I have the means of paying it after all having tremendous bills causes headache and sleepless nights. Debt Management is the solution, when we’re submerged in deep debts, we think is already hopeless to get out of then thats our queue to seek professional help and thats when like Clear Debt comes in. To provide assessment, unbiased professional assessment, on your current financial standing and then offer you choices of solutions you most agreeable with to keep you back in track.
We do have our tendencies of splurging a bit every now and then especially when we saw the word SALE on the store’s window, and then we come up with excuses, rationalizations why such a thing needs to be purchased aside from the fact that there’s a 50 percent slash down to the original price. We tend to think that its a need, the items on sale are a need therefore we must buy them and that we’re actually saving a lot seeing that its on sale, but most of the time when we really dig into the matter … these items are either just plain “wants” or are a redundant to your household.
Maroon 5 or Incubus, I love both bands and would love to see both, when I checked on the ticket prices I was overwhelmed at how expensive Maroon 5 is, I mean the Patron VIP seats are priced at P10,500 each and general admission was like at P1,585. Mitchy loves the band and since she might be in Manila on the 5th of March she said she’d like to watch and if I can file for leave on that day why not? Texted Vic yesterday of my plan and see if he can accompany me, turns out he was planning to see the concert too but then the price is what stopped us, he said with the Lower Box A rate that’d be a ticket back and forth to Hong Kong, *sigh* so that’s off the list. Even Daddy Joe said to better watch Incubus on the 9th instead as the tickets are 50 percent cheaper than those of Maroon 5. So I filed for leave on the 9th of March and should Vic’s leave be approved will go together to the concert.
Am crossing my fingers for luck and hopefully things are gonna work my way again. Heheheh …. also I need to check on the embassy for the requirements of the visa application. So its like hitting two birds with one stone. Aight?
Watched “Jumper” last night with Lil Gurl, Wafa and Bukie can’t really say the movie was good, I seldom watch movies in the theater or even at home for that matter and I was disappointed how the movie appears to be just a bunch of trailer cuts pieced together. The very same sentiment Penny has after we saw each other outside the theater. Oh well, there’s always a first for everyone. Anyways as bukie still has work at 4AM, they went home and so did lil gurl and noela, alongside MJ, Diva, Kitoy, Tin and Penny we find our way to the exit to hail a cab. I intended to withdraw money as I dont have any cash left so Diva and I walked a few steps to the nearest ATM machine and from there hailed a cab to work.
Both of us are on RD but he wanted to do something in I2 and I wanted to see Ching, so off we went, when I checked my emails I was surprised by the number of spams on it and with Mark’s email on VL feedback. My leave application for March 30th to April 3 got approved … whooopppeeee!!!! … ’twas also a good thing that I went to the office last night because my freaking schedule has changed. I was expecting to work on Sunday night but when I double checked on the sched FC sent and on my schedule on the portal it shows am off on Sunday night but will be working straight 5 weekdays next week which means I’ll be attending school on Saturday w/o any sleep like Julius and Mykerts.
I know I should’nt feel bad I’ve been so lucky with the schedule long before when I had Friday and Saturdays off while the both of them have been going to school sleepless since the start of the semester. Maybe its high time I share their schedule, *sigh*. So there I was at work talking to Ron, Ching and Frances while plotting the many Vacation Leaves approved by the gods above and realized that one day the gods above would tell me to just resign coz it seems like I have more scheduled vacation leaves than schedule working days. Heheheeh and at one point it did occur to me how minimal my pay would be given that some of my VLs are already unpaid.
I got my passport yesterday so now am working on getting a passport for Portugal, I have no clue on where to begin, the agency who processed my VISA application does not process VISA for Portugal and is clueless on where I should start. So now its either I go to the embassy itself which is in Manila or scour the ends of google for answers to my queries or I could ask Vic to inquire for me as he’s in Manila. *sigh*
So if the winds are on my side … I should be off to malapascua by the 24 of Feb. with Bebang, Wafa and Bukie; to Bora with Kathy on the 23 of March and finally to Thailand on the 30th of March.
Hopefully all goes well and for once things will go my way.
