He filed for the wrong dates and though we have some of the dates in common but spending 14K for tickets alone is just not worth it for a 3 days stay in HK.
He said to let him know whatever it is I’ve decided and I said am not going. Its too hard to plan an itinerary when the person you’re going with is living one plane ride away from you. We’d be taking different flights on different airlines and meet at the airport. Isn’t that ironic?

Someone called earlier while I was in the shower, my first actually to answer a call in the middle of rinsing my hair. She said she got an email from the airline company stating the major changes on our flights to Bangkok, instead of having the direct route, we’d have a stop over by Manila back and forth. She was pissed off I could tell and since the airline offered a refund for the tickets, heck after all the many changes we’ve gone through a refund is far from okay; she’s canceling it out, the only reason why she didn’t cancel before was because those tickets were non refundable but now that they are … she’s grabbing it.
I was disappointed!! I hate it … and now am canceling too … how can I go to Bangkok alone?

I was curious on the origin of my name, my mom has not told me that much other than it means famous, a friend and joy. Hmmm … as I grew older I realized that in King Arthur there was a princess who has the same name as mine. So that means my name is as old as time, and I guess not so unique too. Princess Rowena, isn’t that royal? Well there’s nothing royal about me, now I have a friend whose about to give birth to a baby girl and up till now they haven’t decided on what to name her yet. So I googled online for baby girl names and meanings to see anything special and unique to suggest.
Mom used to joke around saying that she wanted to name me Agatha Christie after her favorite writer but my aunt won’t have none of it and she wouldn’t allow me to be named Ezra, after the poet Ezra Pound. So I dunno who came up with my name but it was something they both agreed on.
Too bad kids won’t have any say on the matter, tsk tsk … imagine what its like if babies get to select their names. I would have asked my mom to name me Glaeken, now that’d cause trouble as far as the pronunciation goes but damn I love that name. Especially the way it rolls out when I say it out loud. Weeeee but am happy with the birth name they’ve given me at least its not something so obsolete from the almanaqui.
I haven’t been able to log in to Friendster for a couple of days now, seems like someone’s foolin with my account sending spam messages to all my friends. So I changed my password to something I know will never come true. Waaaaaaaa thinking about it made me feel so pathetic!! Anyways when I logged in today these images are what I saw on my profile page. Weeeeee done by Lovely and its cute.

My besties since grade school … look how grown up we are all now … whew!!! Used to remember playing jackstones and chinese garter with these two. Heheheh … and she knows I adore pink so she’s done it on pink!!!
So am going to the gym in a bit and in the gym one of the routines I do the most is the treadmill after a couple of days of being there, I noticed that there are like what 2 or was it 3 different types on there. Its got the same functionalities and all, looks pretty much the same with different positioning for the buttons and all. But searching for them online, not only does the price scare me no wonder gym memberships comes with a price. Also checked on various treadmills reviews which were surprisingly many. A lot of people apparently are on gym memberships at some point that they were ale to make reviews of the treadmill they’ve had to step on.
After work as has been my routine the last few days I head straight to the gym. I did my usual lapse on the treadmill, the bicycle, the stair master and on the weights. Hehehe spent 2 to 3 hours in the gym and afterwards spent another blogging session with Benita on Starbucks. Learned a few things about the wiz of globequest … met a very cute 2 year old baby girl and continued on our blogging escapade.
Drugged after 1 tall Venti Signature Hot Chocolate and 1 honey-glazed doughnut. Benita and Moi fooling around the web, dreaming of plans, like school, blogging and what not. We’re both interested in going back to school, just a short term course for Creative Web Development, am not sure when this would come to fruition but am loving the idea just the same.
Sports and a bucketful of KFC somehow constitutes to some men’s Saturday night at home. While for the ladies there are those home buddy types and there are those who love to go out with other girlfriends. While girls subscribed to the latest on Vogue, men on the other hand subscribed for football picks via email. Can you believe how opposite men and women are? Yet one can,t live without the other.

With technology I found people and organizations doing business more and more at their homes, others on vacation in the Bahamas and who knows where else. The coming of the internet and the world wide web things are just moving quite a bit fast online. From shopping, to banking to bills payment and now … employees and employers, business partners collaborate online at any time of the day no matter on which part of the globe you’re located so long as there’s internet connection, electricity, your pc up and running then business meetings can proceed as usual. Gone were those days where men and women have to dress corporate and rush to the conference room for a meeting. Now they can do it anywhere. Isn’t that amazing?
Which reminds me why even on team buildings our senior operations manager always has her laptop with her. Scary how she can monitor your desktop at work while she’s sipping beer in a beach somewhere. Thats the power to technology.
David and I were talking once about what nots and came across the credit card subject. I have two and am not sure how many he has but we’re in agreement that its better to stop using them and just pay off the remaining balance to regain a larger credit amount so we can purchase whatever we might want. Right now though I think he’s credit limit is not that much yet seeing that he’s gf keeps on using it to buy a couple of blouses ever now and then. But being a guy he wants to have his own home theater, like the picture above. While I on the other hand would be happy with a brandnew pink Sony Vaio.
I’ve been going to the gym for the past three days consecutively and in the course of going there I’ve met TJ (a friend, former mentor and colleague) and we’ve talked a good deal about school, career and future plans as far as where our course would take us. He’s working in a SPED learning center and fully utilizing his license as a professional teacher unlike me who just let my license rot in my wallet. Talking to him made me feel empty and and I realized this guy has experienced more than I have when I became a licensed teacher way ahead of him and now he’s fully using what we’ve learned in our masteral course while I on the other hand continue to rot mentally, physically and emotionally. *sigh*
He asked me why am still not leaving the company am with now and start teaching, I told him I dunno … fear of the unknown perhaps? Not knowing what awaits me in the teaching world. He said, you gotta sort things out in your time before its too late. Yeah yeah I know … and I will but not now. Right after work earlier I went straight to the gym and was doing my walks on the treadmill when this guy who was also on the treadmill right beside mine approached me right when I was done and said with a smile on his face that I strut and somehow made the treadmill my runway. I was flabbergasted, and totally lost all command of speech, I stared at him face blank, he smiled and left.
Lesson learned: Use the treadmill on the farthest corner. Grrrr… Of all things to say … he had to tell me I strut.
A breakup is stressful by itself but moving out of the apartment you’re both sharing is the hardest. Segregating through which items are yours and which are his could take forever, looking for a place to move is dragging and moving out finally is heart breaking. If its any consolation if you’re living in a busy place like Manhattan then you can count of movers New York to assist you “migrate”; everybody needs a helping hand every once in a while and moving to a new place is no exception.

Am not sure if I’ve seen such a centerpiece before but somehow this seem to be the latest type of table centerpiece in hotels and some fancy restaurants. ostrich feathers are like the latest type of centerpieces for various events from weddings to any type of table decorations. Normally I thought they’re all colored white but then again should you decide to make one of these on your own instead of renting them then you get to select on the colors. There’s pink (my favorite) in various shades, blue, lavender, burgundy, teal, peach and cream, the kit that I found online actually include of that slender vase, 24 floralytes, white seems to be the most common but then again you choose whatever color you like and the foam that holds these feathers together. Made me think of a flower arrangement but instead of using flowers you’re using feathers, isn’t that unique?

My wallpaper turned into my very own Rubix Cube, with the variety of stuff you can do online nothing seems impossible. Got this idea when I visited Jean; she’s got her own Rubix Cube too. 
The nature of our work makes us more prone to wearing glasses. When I started getting headaches and my sight started to blur I went to see my doctor right away. I didn’t like it at first because I thought it wasn’t cool but I made a Great Discovery: Zenni Optical offers a wide selection of prescription glasses. This set of outdoor furniture is what i hope to buy the moment I get my own place, hopefully along the beach so I can feel the breeze of the wind while sipping my champagne and have not one care of the world. *sigh* So much for my wishful thinking, knowing at present that money is just hard to come by. But who cares dreaming is free anyway.
Rainy Wednesday afternoon. Found myself in my favorite spot in Starbucks with Bena in what would seem like Blogging 101. He’s new to it and is still grasping on the ropes of blogging, setting up his tagboard, changing the template, setting up his own blogroll, signing up in communities and the like. Am sharing with him what Lex has taught me when I first started in the hopes of unleashing another blogger who would maximize his potentials as a blogger to the fullest and would like us (Lex and moi) earn from it. Its not so much on the earning part but on the experience of being one … to be able to write about anything under the sun without inhibitions. After all its his own space in the world wide web.
We’ve been here since 1 PM and its already 6PM whew!!! dunno how long we’d be here but am enjoying the experience plus Starbucks is like my second home. So comfy … so peaceful.
Losing weight is not as easy as gaining it. I’ve seen a lot of people gone from ultra thin to humongous and I can’t blame them, after all who can resist food? Am sure even those size zero super models have their own share of cravings. If there’s a revolution of newly released models of notebooks there seems to be new diet pills in the market every week or so, latest I’ve heard is a brand called Leptovox. Those people involved in the making of this pills are getting rich by the minute … toying on the obesity of others. After all who wouldn’t wanna fit on that gorgeous size 10 dress hanging on the boutique window?

This one reminds of those mosaics we used to create back in high school, when art was still something I aspire to do when I grow up. Now that am older I realized it was all part of a hallucination I grew out of. Why all these images? Well to be honest am tempted to buy one actually and am quite buffled on which to select, apparently as I have posted them on there that means I liked all of them. Weeeee tough choice to make. But then again all would go down the drain as they don’t ship to PI. Should I be disappointed or relieved? I say I choose the latter. *winks*
