My Pink Shoelace

Yummy right? Any idea on what it is? Was browsing through the many food blogs and recipe sites when I ran into this. Its called cornbread dressing and the recipe’s as follow:

Preparation

Place 1/2 cup butter in a 13- x 9-inch pan; heat in oven at 425° for 4 minutes.

Combine cornmeal and next 5 ingredients; whisk in 3 eggs and buttermilk.

Pour hot butter into batter, stirring until blended. Pour batter into pan.

Bake at 425° for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.

Crumble cornbread into a large bowl; stir in breadcrumbs, and set aside.

Melt remaining 1/2 cup butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onions and celery, and saute until tender. Stir in sage, and saute 1 more minute.

Stir vegetables, remaining 4 eggs, chicken broth, and pepper into cornbread mixture; pour evenly into 1 lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish and 1 lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish. Cover and chill 8 hours.

Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.

*1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage may be substituted for fresh sage.

Andouille Sausage, Apple, and Pecan Dressing: Brown 3/4 pound diced andouille sausage in a skillet over medium heat; drain. Add sausage; 2 Granny Smith apples, chopped; and 2 cups chopped toasted pecans to dressing. Proceed as directed, baking 40 to 45 minutes or until done.

I’ll probably ask Mitchy to do this on her birthday or on Aisat’s or on mine, cooking has never been my forte … all I know is devour the good food prepared by skillful people.

Was watching Roswell and was smitten by one of the episodes wherein Max and Liz got married in las vegas on one of those drive through weddings. *sigh* I know am a hopeless romantic and what they did was just spontaneous and romantic. Imagine being swept off you feet by the man you adore and getting married then and there with you, him, the priest and God as your witnesses, ain’t that romantic?

Plan A – stick it out till the 5th year and continue working on my masters and up coming plan to take on another course.
Plan B – wait till everyone who owes me a dime or two at the office pay me back and scoot off.
Plan C – consider going back to my roots.

*** To be doing the same thing over and over is kinda depressing, guess you can say there are those moments when you just wish for things to be different.

*** I made a huge mistake of purchasing plane tickets for Davao when my VLs are still on pending mode. Am not sure what I’ll do should they be disapproved, from what I know the tickets are non-refundable.

*** Might be working on my birthday w/c kinda sucks, am still contemplating on what to get for myself lol. A choice amongst a pink skateboard (need to replace my blue one); a hot pink 10.1 mp samsung digicam; a pink notebook; samsung’s omnia or sony’s x1.

Am I too good a person? I sometimes ask my self if I’m too good to be true. I’ve been living life in a safe environment, obeying the rules in life, always prim and proper. I would really be in a total shock if I were to get some jail records on file because I’ve never gone to jail. But it’s nice to go and break the rules sometimes; it gives you a sense of freedom that can never be replaced.

It has been convenient for me to go and get my documents online and have them delivered to me after I pay the amount needed. I had my birth certificate sent to me and I just wonder what I’m going to do if it’s a death certificate and where one can get it but I’m not hoping I’d get mine anytime soon.

Ever heard of the term whiplash? If not then welcome to the club, coz I haven’t heard of it either not till now. One of my friends (a regular spammer in my yahoo mail) forwarded this rather intriguing story of a teenager in London whose parents won a suit through the help of a law firm specializing in Whiplash Injury Claims, now what on earth does the word whiplash mean? When I read it what came to mind was the act of an adult punishing a stubborn child with a whip. lol Well, here’s the definition: Whiplash is caused by the sudden impact of a road accident when the head is thrown back very quickly and violently. The after effects of whiplash can be distressing. Whiplash sufferers can experience varying degrees of neck pain, stiffness, headaches and shoulder and back pain. So this is basically what we see in many movies wherein during a car accident the driver’s forehead is thrown back and then gets unconscious afterwards.

There are various law firms out there offering such a service, or would assist you in getting your right injury claim should this type of accident happens to you. These law firms also assist in Bicycle Accident Claims and Personal Injury Claims and the good thing bout them is they don’t charge you initially. I mean, their legal fees and whatever types of fees there are would only apply the moment the claim is successful and the case won.

This firm offering these services is based in the UK, am not sure if there are firms like this in Asia but if you’re in UK and you need help understanding the legalities of these claims then go ahead and give them a ring.

When you try to be good at the job your doing it doesnt really help when the people around you would just tell you to just go ahead transfer that back to the tech team who transferred the call to me … getch?

switchboard (me) understood issue but no where in the resources does it say which dept. can assist the customer further …
colleagues (not very helpful) just said transfer that back to the tech (same tech customer worked with) …

Security systems are a must nowadays not only in companies but even in our homes, a lock in our doors is simply not reliable enough these days as muggers and bad elements have already mastered the eerie technique of busting any homes. So if you have got a bit of extra on your pockets then its advisable to invest on a full proof security device on your home for the safety of your family.

One of the many past times this new found friend of mine indulges in is these ever growing online casinos. When I said every growing thats because its like every email advert I get on my emails are mostly about them, he’s in Europe right now and when we talk never have we missed discusing his escapades with the casino often times he’d win a few pounds which according to he’d most likely lose the following day. Some of these casinos according to him are quite choosy as they’d have these restrictions from players of certain countries or certain states. Am not sure why there are these restrictions and which countries are being restricted but those are the rules and they’ve got to be followed.

I’ll have this printed on my shirt!!! Lol!!! Am in love with myself and I strongly believe he should be too but then again I cannot really force him to say the words which he find terribly hard even if they hold true and I don’t think I’ll hear it from him in this lifetime. I’v been meaning to get real thin but it has not come to a point yet that am considering taking diet pills. Right now though with my current ulcer and the fact that I have so many food restrictions dieting is the last thing on my mind. But I do have a friend who’s into it as well and since I came across a herbal diet pill online called hoodia I might mention this to her so she can get to check out the site and possibly try it and see it it works.
