iStore SM Cebu – Very Rude Customer Service
I went to iStore SM before going to the gym to purchase a case and a screen protector for my iPod touch w/c just arrived last night. So I was in iStore looking and when I finally made my choice I headed to the cashier to pay it off while the cashier was doing her thing one of the personnel there spotted my ipod touch in my bag which I brought along still in its case. He approached me and asked me to take it out. Thinking that he’d be the one to place the screen protector on it, I readily took it out. Only to have this humiliating and infuriating conversation with him.
Him: You have to pay this first before you can put it inside your bag.
Me: That’s mine.
He didn’t take my word for it and asked a colleague who was assisting me with my selection earlier, if it was their unit … the girl said, no that’s hers. So he gave me back my device and went on doing his thing … without mumbling an apology.
I was fuming. He went out of the stock room and mumbled a stupid apology at me and I just glared at him. I was too stunned to speak.
My tone and my mood changed even with my conversation with the cashier who placed the screen guard on my ipod. He came around the third time and he said:
Him: Am so sorry ma’am, I know you’re offended.
Me: I am very offended. You were insinuating that I was stealing. Can’t you see that the case still has its price tag and its in dollars? Dollars damn it and not pesos. And besides your units are stocked in the shelves how on earth could I get them??
My voice was shaking as I was on the verge of tears, I was so pissed off. Only problem is I don’t yell when am mad, I cry.
The cashier was doing her best to put the screen protector perfectly making sure there won’t be any bubbles on the surface.
He jumped at conclusions and was very rude in his approach, so sure of himself that I stole the device. If there was something I did wrong … and if this would be considered my mistake was the fact that I looked so fucking simple and plain wearing sweat pants, shirt and snickers. That I looked so goddamn poor in his eyes I certainly could not afford an ipod let alone a 32gig iPod Touch 2nd Gen.
