Tuesday after shift, Bena, Diva and I decided to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic. Having read the book I was a bit disappointed at how different the movie was from the book. Seems like they need to cram a lot of things into the movie. The movie didn’t show how Tarquin used to have the hots for Becky and how he ended up marrying Suze instead who was a second cousin of some sort. Strange how in the movie Luke Brandon was working as editor for Successful Savings when in the book he was already head of Brandon Communications. Strange how they ended the movie with Luke and Becky back together with Luke giving the green scarf to Becky on the sidewalk when in the book it was given in the airport when Becky was about to leave for New York. In the book they got back together when Luke visited Barney’s where Becky worked as a shopping assistant.

They crammed so much in one movie both book 1 and book 2 (Shopaholic Takes Manhattan). But all in all we had a good laugh, I find the movie hilarious and romantic, Hugh Dancy is certainly one cute guy … weeeeeee.  A must see … its a feel good movie

The way overdue internal debate has finally come to an end when Chris (a friend of mine) decided to subscribe to an email subscription notifying him of  Wii fit in stock on various stores in his area, including but not limited to Amazon, Costco, Next Tag and a lot more. He finally decided after reading countless professional reviews from websites and from various blogs to go with Wii instead of Xbox. This item seems to be selling like pancakes despite the fact that its been in the market for quite sometime now. The problem right now is that during the interim where he is still battling over which one to buy, he somehow managed to spent quite an amount of his savings intended for the product. Hopefully in the next month or so he’ll be able to replenish what he has taken and buy the console once and for all.

Ever been addicted to something? Like cigarettes, drugs or alcohol? Or maybe with lesser stuff like shopping or gambling. Watching Confessions of a Shopaholic reminds me that there are people out there who are addicted to shopping but then again with every addition there’s always some sort of remedy, some type of addiction treatment. With Becky she attended some sort of anti-shopping crusade with those addicted to drugs, there’s a lot of drug rehab centers sprouting on every coast of the country.

It’s for the best that drug rehabilitation programs exist where people who need help can get the help they deserve. Though there are times that these centers are pretty expensive but the good thing is the government have come up with their own intervention programs to help the common people.

When I think about my dream house I also think alongside it the items and furnitures that would go well with my dream house. Hehehe So one of them fortunately is a very expensive piece of living room  furniture. One of these exactly … one of the finest home theater furniture I can find during my online browsing escapade. There’s white, red, black and mocha; and the mocha set is what I like the most. Someday … *sigh*

Was chatting with Lee the other day when he mentioned something about buying a new set of cylindrical roller bearings a couple of weeks from now or during the pay out of their bonus early next month. The conversation turned to this piece of metal when I bugged him about coming home on the second quarter, he said he can’t because he has stuff to settle first. Grrrr … so buying this would be one of them.

Rode with Aisat to Ayala from where I took another jeepney going to my school. Guess who’d ride the same jeepney am in??

*sigh* and after all these years … damn!!! he still made my heart beat like its gonna burst.

Just like all those other times … all I can do is look and stare … from a distance.

I’ve been watching The Cutting Edge 3 over and over … I just can’t get enough of the movie. This song is stuck in my head and I can’t find the title and the artist online. Here it goes:

That’s exactly how I feel as of typing this entry and guess where am typing this??? In the Graduate School Library of my school … can you believe that?!!! *sigh* Am waiting for my printout to be completed so while waiting I might as well rant on here.  Am way behind on my school stuff … am in deep shit with my Stat class and if  don’t scramble am afraid I’ll be repeating this subject come summer. Heaven’s forbid … how can an A list student fall so short in Grad School? Falling behind my classes is something am not used to … man!!! where did I go wrong? Grrrrr … calling out all the fairies to come to my rescue. Plssss…

Was fooling around my friend’s collection of dvd’s and movies on her shelf while she was out preparing french fries and burger. I saw a lot that caught my interest, the complete collection of Sex and the City, Season 1 to 8 of Charmed and the complete set of Friends. She also had a lot of Christian videos and songs which we plan on watching sometime, maybe the next time am on leave.

I should have created a rule in my Outlook at work to automatically send replies to my incoming messages indicating that am out of the office starting February 16 to February 21. Hehehe but never mind … am just glad to be off the phone for a week, to not worry about AHT, QOS and QMS … honestly thinking about my latest failed coaching is doing tremendous damage to my already strained nervous system (char!!!).

All I have to worry right now is school … school … and school. Grrrr … am in dead waters in my Statistics class and way behind my TESOL modules .  I should have figured this out already … but full time work and full time Grad School is just way too much. Somewhere in between something’s gotta give. Hopefully not my sanity.

One of the things to top the priority list of a close friend is something she elaborately tagged as cheap term life insurance quotes as if searching a keyword in google. Amongst us friends I seem to be the one with the largest number of spam emails coming through everyday and though used to be they were regarded as nothing but junk but right now, Lexi is helping me filter them one by one stating that not all junk are actually junk. They just happen to be filtered and sorted through the wrong message box in the email. So from acai berry advertisements, to scholarship funds, free tv and computer deals, to vacation deals and now Lexi is after insurance plans and the likes. So before I delete all the stuff in my bulk folder they’ve been scrutinized by my obsessive compulsive friend. So now I call her my human junk filter. Nyahahaha .. peace out Lex. Love yah. Mwaaah

Same ol ‘ same ol’

Am officially on leave from work starting Feb. 16 to Feb. 21, am back at the office Feb. 22. Isn’t that amazing? I’ve been dying for this leave and now it’s finally coming. Work has been … I dunno … a bore? maybe? or am not quite sure what words to use to describe it. But no matter … am off and am glad because quite a certain aspect of my life has gone way off balance. And that needs fixing which I’ll do next week.

A new furniture here and there to decorate this empty house of mine shouldn’t be so bad but as am a bit tight on the budget right now then I guess all I can do is watch from the windows and take a mental note of what I want and on how much they are. Right now am eyeing a new computer table and a new swivel chair, but this will have to wait till I get enough budget to buy a desktop pc. List list and nothing but list … for now.

Reading Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! didn’t come as a surprise given that they’ve practically been very popular amongst users online as they are selling cool and stylish prescription eyeglasses for only $8!. A very cheap price compared to other providers of eye glasses. A colleague once commented that with the current economic crisis seeing straight without breaking bank seemed like a distant possibility but after reading the news and the blogs about Zenni, he’s convinced that its still achievable.

1. Despite losing mom and being technically on my own … I’ve managed to continue on living.

Was looking for items online, just another typical online activity like window shopping at a mall but am just doing it online. Looking for the right and effective pesticide is a drain … its like a trial and error process. Last week we’ve been seeing a lot of cockroaches and I have no idea where they came from, now am seeing greenish and brownish algae like substance on certain areas in the kitchen and its disgusting. Headed to the department store earlier after class to look for something, anything that would have the tag mold killer on the containers. Asked the sales rep but was disappointed when she herself is unsure if they have a product like that. Isn’t that crazy? Grrrr …

This is way overdue, ’twas suppose to be my Christmas gift for her but since this planner is selling like pancakes … they were gone from major bookstores here after a week’s time of its release. Good thing, I was able to contact the ladies behind this chic creation and was able to order one for her.

Too much of everything is dangerous thats the reason why there’s what you call medical prescription to assure the patient that the dosage indicated for a certain medicine is just the right dosage to alleviate whater pain/discomfort one is experiencing. We hear a lot of types of addiction but seldom do we hear what physicians call vicodin addiction, whats common is alcohol or drug addiction. Must be because vicodin is prescribed by physicians and also because vicodin is not seen as causing the same negative problems as other drugs.

As a blogger I’ve always been on the look out for sites that I can submit my blog to at the beginning I use to think of them as yellow pages but later on found out that if there’s a phone directory then there’s also what’s called blog directory. My latest find in my blog hopping escapade is My Blog Directory, signed up and submitted My Pink Shoelace which was as easy as 1,2,3 to gain further exposure in the blogosphere.  Got a blog ? then submit it now.

We’re asked to fill out the Self Appraisal form, the very same one we filled out when we were about to be regularized. Just finished mine and never thought writing “truthfully” about thyself could be so hard. Am not sure if what I’ve typed were enough for whoever it is who’d find time to read it but it certainly was enough for me, the lesser you type the lesser the errors. lol

The table we used as a tv stand is on the verge of retiring lol. One of its four legs is starting to show signs of giving away and am afraid that if we don’t move the tv set anytime soon it’d collapse and cause damage to it. So I suggested to my uncle to replace the table with the plastic one we have temporarily and hopefully by next month I’d be able to replace it with another one.
