My Pink Shoelace

if I said I Love You … What Would You Do?

The Cutting Edge 3 : Soundtrack

I’ve been watching The Cutting Edge 3 over and over … I just can’t get enough of the movie. This song is stuck in my head and I can’t find the title and the artist online. Here it goes:

You said you’d rather be alone

My whole world turned to stone

But in another world you come crashing back to me

And we would love such love that was never meant to be

Any idea on who sang it and what the title is?

  8. I am not sure if this will work, since I am not a member of much on the internet, but I have done my research for songs from The Cutting Edge 3. I wrote an email to MICDI Productions, which is at the end of the movie. They sent me a list of songs played in the movie. I didn’t find many new ones other than the ones others already found but here are some other possible singers and the songs:
    Lynden- “Better”
    DV Rocks- “Boy”
Homey- “So Far (Everything Is Fine)”
    Michelle Silverman- “Talk To Me”
    Down- “Lean Like A Cholo”
    One Republic- “Apologize” (Timbaland Remix)
    Smooth- “Shake Em”
    Vibekingz- “She’s Like The Wind”
Curtis S.D. MacDonald- “Salsa La Reggaeton”
Hector Cuevas- “The Boston Latin Band”
    Douglas Lambert- “Lazy Dayu”
Rabia Ciega- “El Rey de la Calle”
    Manafest- “Bounce”

Some of those are not on itunes but others that have limewire or other music websites may help.

  9. @Alex – I have no idea what the title is so I cannot type it in youtube.

@Michael – Thanks for going through the hassle of emailing them but I don’t think the song was part of the OST as none of the songs listed matches it.

    But many thanks for looking.

  13. Research for the Songs Part I. Greetings to all. After much deliberation I have compiled a resource list of most of the songs used in the film. Please bear with me for this is a lot of information to share.

    1. Vibekingz cover of ‘She’s like the Wind’ is actually titled ‘Like The Wind’ & it is listed as Vibekingz featuring Maliq (who is the lead singer in this particular song). I only found 1 website where you can purchase it so far & I am not sure how reputable it is. Here is the link http://www.mp3va.com.

2.This one is going to sound a bit crazy but doing some real digging I found Curtis S.D. MacDonald – I found all his works & the song they accredit him with is not listed in his collection. He can be found on http://www.cdbaby.com *

    3. *Okay I used the asterisk symbol here to note that the “Salsa” song listed is actually performed by Hector Cuevas & The Boston Latin Band. The listing states ‘The Boston Latin Band” is the name of the sound but it is not. There website is: http://www.myspace.com/thebostonlatinband Now if you follow the information on their myspace page there is another link which goes here(http://www.sonicbids.com/epk/epk.aspx?epk_id=16607) where if you click on songs you to listen or download you can download the Salsa song for free.

  14. Research for Songs Part 2:

    1. Apologize – is performed by the band One Republic – however the particular version used in this film is a remix done by Timbaland & this version appears on his album Shock Value which can be found on Itunes & Amazon.

2.Now the Adam Lambert song I could not find nor could I find a reference for him. However please see next reference for some more insight overall.

    3. Alright when it came to Rabia Ciega I actually found their myspace page first here = http://www.myspace.com/rabiaciega then doing some more digging found his first debut album called ‘Dark Latin Flowers’ on sale via itunes & track 12 is the one we would want titled “El Rey de la Calle”

    4. Lynden – ‘Better’ track can be found on itunes on the album ‘Pieces Vol. 1′ track 1.

  15. Research for Songs Part 3:

    1. This listing was a strange one for me – DV Rocks being the artist & the song being ‘Boy’ is actually used in other movies/tv shows namely the show Numbers- I discovered this tidbit of information when I tried to find a place to purchase the song. From my understanding it is a song that is licensed for film & show biz to be the ‘music in the background’ or set the mood. However you may write this company & request where you can purchase a copy of the song for it is not listed on itunes or any other store that I could find. http://www.fundamentalmusic.com/music.html

    2. Homey- “So Far (Everything Is Fine) is a complete mystery to me. I tried diligently to get results on this 1 which I came up empty hope someone else out there found more.

3.Another no result for Michelle Silverman ‘Talk To Me’ Let me know if anyone finds anything on her.

    4. Last but not least is the Down- “Lean Like A Cholo” to which I did get results. Cholo is also referred to as Down AKA Kilo or just DOWN here is his myspace page -www.myspace.com/downakakilo
His song can be purchased under his name Down on itunes.

Sorry I don’t have all of them but I did do my best. Hope this helps. Like I said before let me know what you all find.

    Cheers
    Corvin

  19. wow! thanks much! it’s a great song … but it was not that song I was looking for … the song I was looking for was played during that scene where Alex was in the car asking her brother to take her to the airport upon seeing Zach waiting by the fountain … it had the following lyrics:

You said you’d rather be alone
My whole world turned to stone
But in another world you come crashing back to me
And we would love such love that was never meant to be
