So this pic was taken by my good friend Eds of Soloflighted.com during the Boat Sailing Trip with my previous team. Daddy Joe was my team lead back then when I was still in the Commercial LOB. This photo reminds me of how we were about to drown because of bad weather, wrong sense of judgment and with bad fortune on our side.
Several friends who have seen this photo remarked that its basically the person I have become ever since mom went ill and well after she died. Dark, gloomy, unhappy and whatever else you could think of.
I may look happy on the outside what with my travels and what not. But deep inside am still coping with the loss and I still can’t quite accept that she is indeed gone. Let’s just say I travel to get away from it all and I’d repeat the process over and over until I come to terms with what I’ve lost. When that would be, I don’t know. Money certainly can’t buy you happiness.
Now am passing this on to whoever wants to take part. Feel free to grab it. 
The night before my scheduled trip to Hong Kong (which was March 23, 2009), we had dinner at Moon Cafe to celebrate MJ’s birthday. There was Diva, April and Manong, Tin-Tin and Kitoy, Moi and MJ, Benita couldn’t make it and though we kept on calling him on his cell … there was no answer. We were assuming he was heavily asleep.
Dinner was great and talk was flowing, we had videoke afterwards at Beatbox and around 12 midnight MJ and I headed to Starbucks to unwind. It was 5 minutes 3 AM when I got home.

Mitchy, Aisat and I dined at Big Mao which was overlooking the stage built on the Terraces for John Veseley’s concert. The whole place was packed with people and since we were inside we only heard him sing. Was not able to take pictures but was only able to catch a glimpse of him from a far. *sigh*
He sang if am not mistaken around 3 to 4 songs only but it was worth it. I love the voice, the lyrics and of course the man behind it. Weeeeeee.
Arrived home earlier today and am tired. Dead beat. Lol but it was worth it. Had a swell time with those casinos, finally I get to play on the slot machines. Hehehe Still sorting out the presents for friends and the pastries I bought from Macau. Will post pictures soon.
There came a point in my life wherein I was able to buy most, if not all, that I wanted. I just swiped and swiped and borrowed money here and there and everywhere. It was exhilarating, the feeling I mean, to be able to purchase all the stuff that I wanted because it was also fulfilling at the same time. It made me happy in a sense that I have what it takes to get what I want and when I wanted it. But then again, it all came with a price when the bill would arrive. It made me wonder where the heck did I get all these when I’m supposed to be saving for my future? Getting a payday loan was actually the only thing that went on my mind in order to make sure that it’s not too late.
It is hard at times but I have to be practical now, since it’s not good to just buy and buy to my heart’s content. I have to let my brain kick in most of the time and should maintain control. That’s why I guess this debt settlement is what I need to have. It’s better than having to just sit around and keep the bills piling. We should be able to segregate the needs from the wants and act on it. It’s only one of the debt solutions that are available out there. But it’s already good that I’ve already started somewhere to get this problem resolved.
Yep, you got that right. I won’t be able to post any new entries until I get back which is on March 29, 2009. My Pink Shoelace is officially on Hiatus from March 23, 2009 to March 29, 2009 and will be on vacation in Hong Kong and Macau. Will keep you guys posted when I get back. Mwwaahhh… love lots 
Was at the mall yesterday when I saw that there was a local job fair going on. Though I technically still have a job right now but I was enticed to just look through the postings. Several call centers were there, jobs for the US and for Dubai were pretty much dominant. I overheard someone asking what are tech jobs and what do they do. I myself was unsure of what the job description entails but what came to mind was working with computers and the like.

I knew from experience that this doctor doesn’t really come on time. I mean based on my first session with her she arrived an hour and a half past her schedule. On her door is the sign that says Clinic Hours 10:00AM to 12NN. But she arrived at 11:30 AM and during that first session I was second on her list, she saw me at 10 minutes past noon. So last Thursday was no different, I arrived 10AM on her clinic and was flabbergasted to find a dozen other people waiting, I was 10th on the list.
During my wait inside her clinic, I finished watching 13 Going On 30 on my iPod Touch, at least I had something to keep company. Am still placed under observation and won’t be back in the office till well, over next month! Good luck to my pay.
So the other day I was very keen on getting a new phone. My choice was constantly between Sony Ericsson’s Xperia and Palm’s Treo Pro. I gave up on the iPhone, aside from the fact that its not open GSM, the rates are just horrible. When Diva and I went to Ayala last Wednesday, we saw a white Palm Centrino and he suggested I go buy it but am reluctant. It was not my first choice but looking at this pink version now … whew!!! if this is available here then yes I’d surely go for it.
With summer in the air, Outer Banks rentals have gotten fairly in demand. Several friends I know are currently enjoying fun fields vacations within and outside of the country. Now I myself have no clue where am going this summer other than school and the occasional visits to the office. *sigh* pretty boring huh? Nice way to spend summer stuck at home and with school. Oh well, there’s always next year
Ok, so I’ve gained weight thanks to the steroids I was made to take to control my allergies I feel bloated like I’ve never been bloated before and damn I feel heavy. So as far as losing weight is concerned am just about to resort to taking a diet pill advertised on the web. But I’d make that very last option I’ll give it a month of gym work and control of food in take before deciding to go take the pill to lose weight.

We’ll it is basically the process wherein an individual comes to an agreement with his creditors for a single payoff which is less than the full amount owed. Debt settlement has one major goal and that is to help eliminate debt. To help the individual get rid of those debts one step at a time. That no matter how religious you are in paying every month it still seems the amount has not gone down. Mom always said be careful of what you swipe your card for and be mindful of your spending. Make sure all of them are still within your means.
John Vesely better known as the person behind Secondhand Serenade is coming to Cebu!!! Wooohoooo!!! You got that right, he’d be serenading his audience at the Terraces come March 31, 2009, 7PM @ the Terraces in Ayala Cebu and the tickets were all sold out. Unbelievable. Anyways, I guess I’ll be listening and watching from the sidelines. Weeeeee So excited here.
During my short lived visit in Macau (two days to be exact) I was able to go Casino hopping, literally. The place do held up to its title of being the Small Las Vegas in Asia, the place was packed with tourists and natives alike. What made the whole experience nice was the fact that each hotel offer free shuttle service from the wharf. All these well decorated and spacious buses are waiting outside the wharf and anyone can hop in, to get a free ride and tour to each of these wonderful hotels. It sure was swell. Apart from hotel hopping we were able to play on the slot machines which was thrilling for me though I didn’t win any but the experience itself was enough. Now though the emergence of online casinos lured many players to the comfort online gaming offers what with being able to play in your pyjamas and such but it has not lessened the number of players you see in actual casinos. I thought this hi-tech way of playing online would put a diminish on the number of players but it did not. It is as buzzing as ever and when I was in Macau I felt I was in Las Vegas hehe it’s the closest I can get anyway.
After a couple of email exchanges, it has been confirmed that my beloved aunt has bought me a 1TB external hard drive, the 10.1 camera I asked for and now she has conceded to buying me these books. Weeeeeeee I did a bit of search for online australian bookshops and found a whole lot. Did a search for the titles I want on these sites and found them to be available, as she is a very busy person, she wouldn’t have the time to pick them up herself from the store. The site would just deliver them to her doorstep, so am getting the following books along with other goodies on the second or third week of April. I can hardly wait!

She doesnt really say no to books amongst many others hehehe, I guess the only time she’d say no is if and when I’ll ask her to buy me a Macbook Pro. Lol
With the current economic crisis, a lot of the common people are having difficulties overcoming their credit card debts and loans that most of them resorted to filing for bankruptcy. When Lindsay’s father got sick and was rushed to the hospital it never occurred to them that he would be staying in the hospital for a very long time. Since what they have saved and what his father’s company is able to pay out for their hospital bill is not enough, her mom applied to loan and now they are stuck with what is termed medical debt.
As their loans piled up one on top of the other a friend of her mom’s suggested that she checked through the various debt consolidation options offered by the many financial firms in the city. When going through debt consolidation it is a must that the debtor creates a negotiation letter but when you hire a pro they create the diy debt negotiation letters for you.
Kids these days would want a ride of their own, I remember Carol asking her mom for one the day she turned 15 and is eligible to apply for a driver’s license. So Aunt Lucy checked with her contact to see if she can get the best deals on car insurance before buying a second hand car for Carol. We have been seeing a lot of her classmates drive their own wheels and though its kinda impressive but the thought of high car insurance rates is making me sick.
Apart from the car her parents had promised her, they’re also going on a trip somewhere in Europe as part of her graduation gift. Graduating class valedictorian certainly has its perks and right now I am helping her in looking for cheap accomodation so they can save on hotels and so they’ll have extra pocket money. Though Aunt Lucy thinks that teenagers and credit cards are words that should not go together, in Carol’s case she conceeded to giving her one. Afterall she is a responsible teenager.
Was walking without proper destination inside one of the biggest malls here when a lady gave me a leaflet talking about a debt free program that their financial firm is offering to regular and business consumers. I was kinda intrigued knowing that I have several friends who can certainly benefit from it. It talks about lowering bills through a guided scheme achievable or to be done month by month. There were other teams on the leaflet that I myself don’t understand such as debt consolidation, rent debt, medical debt and so on.
As I walked through looking for computer shops I decided to pass along this leaflet to some of my friends and see what they think. Budgeting nowadays for these people are kind of difficult so professional help is needed. I think it would be beneficial if these friends of mine can clear out their loans before the year ends so that they can start anew next year. Maybe I will attend this program too and see how it works, not that my financial problems are tremendous they are still within limits thanks goodness but new knowledge is always welcome. Hopefully this type of program is free to join.
For this week’s edition of Pink Friday, am posting this cute pink laptop cooler I got for my Pink Lenovo … heheh got it at CD-R King a couple of weeks back and I love the way it looked. So cute and so pink … they’re like a match made in heaven. Lol
Part of the wish list he has sent out to all of us for his upcoming birthday includes industrial handles, iPod compatible speakers, and a laptop cooler. Of the three only the first on the list has not been “claimed”. I mean all of us had a conference chat last night excluding the birthday boy of course to compare notes on what gifts to buy. Seems like I’ll have to be heading to the hardware stores tomorrow.
I have a brother who is so addicted to playing online games especially World of War Craft. I am not very familiar with playing the actual game and it’s storyline because I’m more into the internet side of computers. However, his addiction is really something worth admiring in a sense that he is passionate with how he plays the game. He sometimes purchases a world of warcraft game card just so he can spend time to log online and get his daily fix of his favorite play. It’s amazing how he stays up despite the lack of sleep just to be able to get into the feeling of belonging to a group of people who share the same interests as him.
One time he purchased a wrath cd key in order to make sure that he is purchasing a licensed copy of the game because he’s so dedicated to it. Despite having a day job as well as some night projects at work, he still is very keen on spending some good world of warcraft game time as he doesn’t want to be separated with the latest updates on this game. He’s planning to join some tournaments in the future, that’s why needs all the practice he can get.
Ever been on a debt you feel like you can not get out of? If the answer to that is yes then you are not alone. Statistics shows that an average American owes at least $9000 on credit card debts alone now isn’t that scary or what? According to another study by the American Bankruptcy Institute 391,873 people filed for bankruptcy in 2002 and that an American household would have a minimum of 13 credit cards. So imagine the struggle one must have had on a monthly basis in order to pay all these debts and not to mention other types of loans typical families would have on top of their credit cards. The trend with financial firms and institutions these days is to offer consumers what they call debt consolidation where in you would take on loan to pay all other loans. The same thing also applies to the consolidation of credit card bills which is called credit consolidation in these types of financial arrangement there is often debt negotiation in place to suit both the company and the debtor.
It is better this way rather than have the debtor claim bankruptcy, they get to pay off their loan at a cheaper rate and in a reasonable amount of time.
That’s the condition that’s plaguing my skin now, I’ve been gone from work for a week and this might well continue over to the next week as I don’t see the allergies going away anytime soon. My arms and my legs are covered with ugly red blotches which are by the way very very itchy. I’ve been to three doctors already and the last doctor we visited yesterday was an allergologist. My medication was changed and the dosage was increased, she had me under observation till Wednesday of next week and am seeing her next week then to see what progress her prescription has done.
My skin looks horrible and I just hope this won’t leave any scars.
Saw another email residing my bulk folder about a new energy and weight management pill called atro phex. Now I have been gaining weight since I got my allergy due to the steroids I was made to take and the lack of exercise. I wanna get back to my old size but am not sure if I’m willing to go ahead and resort to weight loss pills just yet.
I was enlisted as part of the bulletin board committee together with Lily and Randy but truth be told I haven’t done anything. Well if you consider going with them buying the material something then that/s about it. I wasn’t able to help out in making the slippers and all that. I asked Randy to take a picture of the finished product so I can blog about it, and boy it sure looks pretty.

It’s been a couple of months now when I realized that the faucet in the bathroom is not working. I mean there’s a leak on it somewhere giving out more water than it normally should. Haven’t had the time to have it checked by a local plumber here in the neighborhood, for sure the plumber would recomend a replacement and since I saw a website advertising the Moen faucet sale, am hoping I could get one of these and use it as the replacement.
If you scour the net religiously one would be amazed at the number of opportunities up for grabs and the number of freebies available online. Especially those who are in the US and Canada these opportunities are endless, online gaming advertisements have been plaguing my junk box for quite some time now and though I normally just ignore them a couple weeks back I did open one email from a certain USA online casino and was quite fascinated by the numerous online games their site has to offer. I have been gone and out for a couple of weeks now … missed a couple of Pink Friday editions but this week am back and hopefully for good. Some time last week Randy, Lily and I hit the malls to buy materials for our bulletin board. While we were in National Book Store I remembered that the stapler I had back home, the one I’ve been using since high school is no longer working.
So I bought one … just similar to the picture above. Weeeeeeee a pink stapler. Another pink item to add to the collection.
