Farm Town
So above is a screenshot of a game in Facebook called Farm Town which got almost everyone at work addicted including me. Hehehe it started with a few friends playing it and when they got hooked they spread the word and now am hooked. If you have a Facebook account, try searching for Farm Town and give it a shot.

I was just playing yesterday morning when I received a text message from a friend of mine back in college. She asked if I’d be interested to do part time work as a tutor to 2 Korean kids with the ages, 7 and 9. Two hours every day from Mondays – Fridays and that I start that afternoon. I told her that’s pretty fast so she said we’ll just go their place today and see how things go. So I was there and we met the parents and the kids who are very cute and disciplined. I liked them instantly. So here I am preparing my lessons for today’s session. Am beginning to like this … finally am able to put 4 years of studies and the TESOL course into good use.
Wish me luck.

When my notebook was busted I resorted to reading and my one stop source of good read is Momie Cherry, I saw her recently bringing with her a book entitled “The Time Traveller’s Wife” by Audrey Niffeneger and she told me it’s really good. So when she was done reading it I asked her if I could borrow the book, she readily said yes and brought the book the next day.
So am reading it and almost done and I love it. It’s gonna be in the cinemas soon, later this year probably here as it’d be shown sometime in August in the US. It stars Eric Bana (ultimate hunk) and Rachel McAdams (of Mean Girls) I cannot wait how the screenplay would go for this astonishing book. The story in itself is moving and original, the author is highly inspired and creative to have been able to come up with something as delicate as this.

If you’re hunting for a good read then do check this book out. I even asked Druggie to get me a copy instead of buying me a skateboard. Above was the cover of the book and below is the poster for the movie, showing Clare and Henry.

I pinged RJ about the 3 of us hanging out, lunch and then see a movie. She readily said yes and I asked her to text Lovely about it after a couple of minutes it was confirmed. This was last Tuesday and the date we’ve set was the day after, Wednesday.
So we met at KFC Ayala, had lunch and I finally get to meet RJ’s boyfriend, Vince and talk was flowing. It was decided that we’ll watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which was shown that day.

It was amazing! The movie theater was jam packed, people were clapping when it ended and boy I love the soundtrack. Gotta grab a copy as soon as it hits the stores.

My laptop has been in the works for 5 days. It started with a bad hard disk drive which we replaced, so from 160 GB to a whooping 320 GB. It worked for a couple of days and then it started giving me black screens with undecipherable codes to total nothing. I brought it back to the tech who fixed it and after thorough check up, diagnoses was “fried motherboard”.
So I left it at the shop since Saturday and I got it earlier tonight, new motherboard, heat sing, fan and dvd drive. If this baby works like it s’pose to then I’d consider what I just shelled out money well spent.
I’m crossing my fingers here.

Am ecstatic actually, I just got the email that I passed the initial interview conducted last night by the assistant director. I look forward to starting the course but as this is not urgent I can take it anytime within the year or next I’ll finish my masters first and then go for it. At least knowing that I passed the interview meant am already profiled as one of their prospective students.

I was terribly pissed off, I went to my old school to get my certificate of good moral so I can comply with the needed requirements for my upcoming comprehensive examination. I haven’t been in there since graduation day and boy the system still hasn’t changed and it’s been 3 years.
The crappy woman at the accounting department gave me my form after 30 minutes of waiting so I gave it to the old asshole at the Registrar’s Office only to be told that I have to take it back to the crappy witch to have her write the words “Approved for Seal”. Can you imagine?
So I went back to the accounting office spoke to the same crappy witch, cutting in the line, shoving the my form at the tiny window only to be told smugly that I’d have to take it to the Registrar’s Office.
I told her, I wouldn’t be here if they’ve accepted it. Now write down that stupid phrase so they can seal it. She gave the form to the woman next to her saying, “Hey you didn’t write it”. My nose was flaring and I just told her face off, “If you guys haven’t been so reckless I would have been done and home by now … do your job right bitches.”
I literally said that and I remembered feeling rather better after. The release was instantaneous and I can’t believe I have a hidden “bitchy streak” in me.
So I got my Certificate of Good Moral after 3 hours and a once in a blue moon bitchiness act.

My notebook died on me last Wednesday, it won’t boot to the desktop and gives out an annoying beep sound when you turn it on. It doesn’t recognize the hard disk and keeps on giving out the message: No Boot Device Found. *sigh* Guess after using so many windows based computer I’ve seen this coming and I hate it.
Can’t wait to get my hands on a new macbook.

There was this movie I saw once when I was a kid, couldn’t quite remember the title but what I could not forget was that this family was always on the go. Like they’re living on this huge truck with the insides converted into a home complete with bedrooms, kitchen, lavatory etc. I was amazed. I asked mom if that’s available here she laughed and said no … we’re not that technologically advanced. So here I once again bumped into a site advertising anything and everything about any rv and if it was possible I would love to get one.

Or so I think I guess … I mean not only I need a new pair of glasses but we’ve (meaning me and a friend) saw really cool $ 8 Rx eyeglasses deal online which feels like an awesome package deal to me. So when she saw Zenni Optical on TV!!! she was ecstatic about it and so I am. We checked further more online and saw several High Five to Zenni Optical on several review sites which is cool.

So it’s June and classes have started. Bought these school supplies for my lil girl, Jenny, she’s 9 and is in grade 3. Oh don’t get that first statement wrong, she’s not my daughter, she’s my neighbor’s daughter. Her mom and my mom were pretty tight buds and she’s like my adopted lil sister (am biologically an only child). She had an older sister who died at the age 5 coz of dengue, my mom and I just love them, I mean they were practically growing up at our place. We live so close it’s like a stone throw away and she’s almost always at home trying my stilettos on, ransacking the ref, checking on the dvd’s and all that. So it has been our tradition that I get her, her school things … they wouldn’t let me take care of the tuition but I guess that’s parent’s pride coming in. So I satisfied myself with buying her anything pink … hehehehe
P.S.

Around 3:30 AM earlier my tummy was hurting so bad I complained about it to my seatmate. When Momie Tyneen arrived she asked if she could take over my station during my lunch and I told her about the tummy pain, she went to the clinic and asked for meds on my behalf. During lunch I went to the pantry to eat and took the meds. But the pain didn’t subside
Around 5AM when am suppose to go back and start taking calls I started puking, my team lead sent me home.
Kathy accompanied me to Jobee to have breakfast and got home at around 6AM. I was asleep from 6 AM all the way to 6 PM. The pain is still here but it’s manageable. Good thing it’s already my rest day tomorrow. *sigh*

Don’t we all wanna get that perfect bod with no flabs and fats? Yeah … some of my friends are like crazily addicted to diet and gym. A friend suggested the use of a pill called nuphedra as she said it has been heavily talked about on the net to be very effective and has been given several positive reviews from users. It is said be to tested and proven to produce likable results. Hmmm we’ll see.
