if I said I Love You … What Would You Do?

So Sweet

Her: I don’t know if I should be saying this
Her: but I think I should before you would know it from other people
Her: do you know that he will be going on a date?
Moi: nope … I haven’t spoken to him in ages … and if he is then good for him
Her: he already asked her out on Sunday
Moi: cool :)
Her: are you sure?
Her: okies
Moi: yeah, are u worried about me?
Her: kinda…
Her: am always worried about you
Moi: ohhhh that’s so sweet and thanks … but am ok. I might not be if this thing happened two years ago … but I hardly know the person anymore.
Her: :)

And its true had this been two years ago I would have been disappointed like a mindless rag doll. But things are different now … what must have seemed like a sweet thing, the most likely match, the perfect symphony as others would have it doesn’t hold true now plus the person I used to know doesn’t seem to exist anymore and true people change but I’ve chosen to preserve the memory of who I used to know rather than deal with who he is now.

She might think I still hold the torch for him but I no longer do … it’s like that time when you say you’re totally in love with Leonardo Di Caprio after watching Titanic but in truth you’re infatuated with the character he played in the movie … uhmmm like falling for a highly idealized character of the person you subconsciously created. Just one of those Cinderella fantasies.

So … it’s safe to say am happy for him and if he chooses to keep me out of the loop then so be it.  As mom would have it, another person’s affair is none of your business.  But am really glad that she worries and that she lets me know … it’s very sweet and affectionate of her.

Busy Busy Busy

There are several things that I’ve been meaning to blog about but never found the time actually do ‘em; Randy has asked me to do something for their blog and I haven’t gotten around it; I am terribly busy with this new found addiction (well it’s old but was on hiatus for over 6 years so it’s like starting all over).

I’m currently working on several fbs and a few decos, designing my own and attempting to make it halfway through the first of my vowed scrapbook series. Waaaaaaaaa am so dead! tugs.

Freebiiiieeee

free directory submission is just what starter netpreneurs like me need and want at the moment, free site submission and other sort of listing is needed to boost traffic and showcase the site to several audience types. Don’t know how long before this new gig would keep off but am crossing my fingers, this might just be the window of opportunity that I’ve been waiting for.

Friday Rest Day

MJ and I have close to similar rest days and we’ve hanged out couple of times in the past just last Friday we decided to go to Ayala to buy scrapbooking things and writing papers. MJ has gotten an all in one printer and because of me (that’s what she said) she’s back into the penpalling and swapping hobby. lol. I never thought I’d meet someone who’d be into making and swapping of fb’s, decos, label bags and what have you but I discovered she is and now she’s back on track. Weeeee

I’ve created a different blog about it on blogspot, you guys can check it out @ Of Letters and Beyond. It’s still fairly new but am working on it the same way I am working on my scrapbooks and a whole bunch of other stuff.

norwegiansalmonNorwegian Salmon

After buying a whole lotta stuff from National Bookstore we ended up dining at Spaghetti House, MJ ordered that pasta with the giant meatball and I ordered the norwegian salmon which was really yummy, the caesar salad was well nevermind. lol. After Spaghetti House we headed to Maze where I bought another case for my iPod Touch, a black leather from Capdase, we then headed to iStore where I purchased a new set of earphones, the original ones that came with my iTouch is still functional, no issues with the sounds but boy it looks awful and dirty, tugs, certainly needs replacement.

We were roaming around Ayala as it was raining heavily, we met two of MJ’s classmates back in Med School they chitchatted for a bit then we proceeded buying or shall I say I proceeded buying more scrapbooking stuff from Arts and Crafts and a few more from Metro Ayala’s bookstore. Should I change the title to Friday Shopping Galore??? toinks!

Pink Tarsier

Finally found the time to take a shot at it. lol This was given to me by Edwin some time last June and it took me bloody three months to get a snapshot of it … waaaaaaaa. Toinks!

pinktarsier1the blue tarsier is safely hanging on my locker door but this pink one is safe hanging on my pink pouch which goes with me where ever I go.

pinktarsier2so there goes the pink tarsier and the pink pouch (holds my iPod touch, monies, and mobile phone)

pinktarsier3When I found out he was from Bohol I asked him to bring me a tarsier (not the live one. lol) and he said he’ll bring one when he goes home which would be in the next couple of weeks. Being the forgetful that I am I totally forgot about it … only remembered when dropped a small brown package on my station one day containing the pink tarsier. Weeeeeee

Thanks Dwin!

Shipping

I was wondering once if the regular postal service would shop small to big boxes and how much it’d cost when a friend who heard me musing out load suggested that there are commercial companies shipping boxes worldwide of various rates according to the size of the box.  So we checked on several companies to compare rates and finally settled on one. I’ll be sending some stuff over to a few people in different continents and I’m sure this would take a rather big dent on my pockets. tugs!

Safety First

That has always been her motto when buying things especially for the baby when I accompany her shopping we always look for what she has called safety products which were according to her research undergone tremendous screening by several board of what not. lol She’s what I call OC, to the highest degree, I know we should go for products proven to be safe and all that but to the extent of spending several days doing research before actually buying it is just way overboard.

High School, Old School, Whatever You Call It!

My friend was shocked when he saw the mess and clutter on my turf when he decided to drop by unannounced. He caught me completely wired, sitting in the middle of my cluttered work area, my artistic side on the loose. lol He was like … what on earth is going on???!!!! his eyes were as big as pancakes. toinks!

I started this hobby when I was 15 and went on hiatus during the college years. You know how demanding college can be so I stopped never thinking I’d ever go back but when I saw my old box still full of supplies and what not I decided to go back. Why not? It sure was fun and being the home buddy that I am this surely gives me more fun than getting wasted somewhere on a Friday night.  Boring??? Oh well … whatever makes you happy right?

Which reminds me of how messy I made my office workstation last weekend, on weekends there are only very few of us on the floor and if we’re lucky not that many calls so I was able to do whatever I wanted, I brought all my printables and in between calls cut them out one by one, making a huge mess on my station. lol

messyoffice1
showing the left side

messyoffice2now we have whats on the right side

messyoffice3and there goes “center stage” lol no need to see what’s on my screen though

So with those images being shown, I leave you to imagine what it must have been like at home. Waaaaaaaaaaaa it’s a good thing there are no kids living with me at home otherwise it’d be one hell of a clutter.

Pink Flash Drive

I haven’t participated in this meme for quite a long time and I am feeling terribly bad about it. So am back and hopefully this will be the start of a more consistent participation of the meme. For this week am posting this cute image I run into online … a pink flash drive … there are lots of them I had a hard time picking out which ones stand out.

via:  ezeego.homeshop

via: geekalerts.com

Aren’t they both adorable? Too bad there are no designs like them here, what I’ve seen so far are just generic ones which put me off from buying one especially as I really don’t need one. But if there was anything cute or pink at all am sure I would have bought one.

What To Make Of It

A friend of mine is turning a year older this Friday and for a present he asked for something relatively simple,  a burned CD with the completely discography of his favorite bands: Tool and A Perfect Circle. I listen to these bands every now and then but am not a die hard fan but he is and given that he has given me my first ever skateboard I wanna make sure I get that CD for him. So I managed find someone with those files and hopefully I’ll get them tomorrow.

We were texting the other day when he mentioned a friend of him from work whom I happen to met sometime last month at a gathering. His text message where as follows (translated in English):

him : bai, remember Jason? my height, a team mate of mine … introduced you guys last month? nyways, I mentioned to him you were getting me the Tool and A Perfect Circle discography, know what he said?

moi: the preppy guy? yeah I remember him, he gave me the traditional head-foot look over. not my type though too preppy for me … don’t tell him that, that’d ruin his ego. lol

him: hahahha funny thing is you are sorta his … as he put it, you are pretty geeky and conservative to be a skateboarder and to be addicted to the kind of music you are listening to. you also appear to be pretty oblivious.

moi: what’d you say?

him: told him to leave you alone :)

moi: good. bwahahaha. and yeah you can tell him he’s too preppy for me. see yah Friday.

So there you go … I was like … ah … it’s either I’d be amused that I happen to be someone’s “sorta” type or be annoyed for having met someone so stereotypical.  It reminded me of how someone who pointed out that am raised to be conservative made it sound that in this day and age … that bloody well is a crime. That being single is pitiful … oh which brings to mind a team mate of mine who kept on asking me that he introduce me to his friend in Singapore. Whoooohooo … can you people just leave me alone???

He prolly mean well but it’s annoying, how my seemingly unattached state is giving him the creeps and the cause for worry. Weird.

Diva and Bena

monday

My two fabulous gay friends from the office, Diva and Bena, during our cookout at Lily and Randy’s place.  These two are part of what I look forward to when I wake up and prepare for work, seeing them just makes things a bit easy.

Lets See

siargao 2008

Click on the image above to see the larger version lol. One of the many products on my futile attempt on I dunno whatever you call it.  Apart from blogging, swapping (fbs, decos, label bags and postcards), scrapbooking, I toy around paint.net and pse amongst other things just to wile away the time.

Remote

When you’re friends are first class geeks its really hard to hide things from them especially if those things you wanna hide are in your computer. *sigh*  Lets take Sissy for example she was chatting with Lee sometime last week and while chatting she was also browsing several sites making chat responses rather slow, Lee being the geek that he is did something that made him see what was on Sissy’s desktop. So he saw what Sissy was busy googling about New York accident lawyers and this sent a click on Lee’s mind lol, conferencing everyone online including me even though my status clearly said “back off am busy scrapbooking, ping when absolutely necessary” *sigh* Lee Lee Lee you’re a major pain in the a$$.

Back to Mozilla Firefox 3.0

I did mention on my previous post that I am  not that pleased with the upgrade primarily because the Real Player plugin doesn’t work on it plus it’s really slow and would crash unexpectedly especially if you have at least 6 tabs open at the same time. Am not sure if you guys are having the same kind of problem but I did and I didn’t like it.  Thank God for I found this website:  Old Apps where I get to download and older version of Firefox, I tried version 3.5 but my plugins still didn’t work well with them so I settled for 3.0 and am loving it.

Things are back to the way they’re suppose to be and it’s working great, all my plugins are fully functional, all the themes I’ve downloaded seemed to work beautifully. I’ve noticed that on one of Ron’s shoutouts in Facebook, he mentioned hating the upgraded version and I can totally relate so upon seeing him online in IM, I pinged him and told him of my discovery. Hehehehe

I think he’s able to go back to the older version and things are working well for him too.

firefox3.0.13

The site compiles downloadable old versions of any program imaginable from browsers to file sharing apps, if there’s anything you need … you might wanna check the site out. I find it very useful.

Blue Tarsier

Sometime in 2007 I went to Bohol with Vic and forgot to buy a tarsier key chain much to my dismay but there’s no one else to blame but me and my forgetfulness. A couple of months passed and then D and the rest of the management team went to Bohol so this time I asked him to buy me a tarsier and he did paired it with a couple of Peanut Kisses. Now being the forgetful that I am, I completely forgot where I placed it after a couple of months of having it so to put it I lost the tarsier that he gave me.

Then just a couple of months back I guess that was June, Druggie went home and came back with a lot of delicacies from Bohol, I didn’t know he was from Bohol till then so I asked him to buy me a tarsier when he goes back, he said it won’t be in a couple of weeks but I said that’s fine.  Now I only mentioned that once and I didn’t remember when exactly was he going home just so I could remind him. It just came as a surprise when one day on my station he approached me and handed a small brown packet and to my delight its a pink tarsier keychain … to my astonishment he didn’t forget. (Haven’t taken photos of it yet but will do later on)

What I have taken a pic though is the blue tarsier given to me by Anj when she went to Bohol with Dowell just a couple of weeks ago. I asked her to bring me one and since I was on rest day when she got back she just took the initiative of hanging it on my locker.

So there goes my blue tarsier hanging on my locker door. It was a very nice surprise to see it there.

Thanks Anj … you’re the best!

Cute

Was foolin around my notebook earlier and I remembered how I used to change the theme of my firefox browser, I haven’t done it for quite sometime just sticking to what was the default but it came across my head earlier and off I went to Mozilla’s website to browse through the many themes and I settled for this one.

pinkmozilla

No surprise there as I love pink. I am currently on version 3.5.2 of Mozilla Firefox and I can say I kinda regret doing the update because the Real Player Video Download plugin doesn’t work on this version and from what I’ve read on some of the forums online, Real Player won’t be releasing an upgrade anytime soon. That sucks big time *sigh* I guess the only consolation is it still works on Google Chrome and IE and though I rarely use IE, Google Chrome acts as my secondary browser.

Several Reviews

I was pinging a friend of mine over instant messenger and she said that she’s busy writing weight loss supplement reviews for a client she got most of her online article writing projects from. Whew! I guess that’s rather tough I mean, having to write about something you have not seen or touched. So I let her be and said she ought to change her status from Available to Busy so as not to be bothered at all. Or better yet to just sign out from messenger and log back in as soon as she’s able to talk to people.

Not Well

I am typing this at home when am supposedly at the office already taking calls and doing my job but instead am stuck at home facing my PC waiting ever patiently for the drug to kick in. Asthma attacks are increasingly becoming very familiar and tiresome. My alarm has been set at 12 midnight to give me enough time to prepare for work and not be late for my 1:30AM shift but today like those days where I had what I call an episode I was awakened by the drowning feeling and was gasping for air at 11PM … an hour earlier than scheduled.

The meds still hasn’t kicked in and am forced to call the office stating my condition and how unwell I am *sigh* my asthma is accompanied by a sharp pain on my back, I’ll be forced to take some kind of pain reliever to make this go away.  Though I’ve come to terms that I’ll prolly be living my life alone but being sick and alone at the same time is just not good … not good at all.

Next Project

Not my project but am involved just the same … *sigh* that’s what you call involvement via friendship lol. We’re helping out a friend by scouting the market for affordable grill guards hopefully we’d find a good deal which consist of it being brand new, am sick and tired of settling for secondhand car parts.  Our target in buying it is early next year most probably 3rd week of January and the latest would be 2nd week of Feb.  hopefully by that time the accumulated savings would be sufficient.

For Jenny

I’ve always wanted to buy her a study table as she doesn’t have one, she’s been using the kitchen table when doing her school work which is alright according to her mom but I kinda like the idea that she has her own table where she gets to put her stuff without having to remove them every so often.  classroom desks like the image above are kinda expensive so I guess I’ll settle for the typical study table. I’ve seen one already but I’ll scout some more and see what else I can find.

Spring Cleaning

One of the many things plaguing Suzy’s mind at the moment is getting hold of this product she calls spring plungers which she run across while bloghopping on night. I still don’t get it, what it does, what its for and how much it’d cost but that’s on her current wish list for our annual Christmas exchange gift. *sigh* Now I gotta research and see what I can find … tugs!

Adam

Ever since I saw the trailer on youtube I just cannot wait to see this movie. It stars Hugh Dancy (Confessions of a Shopaholic) and Rose Byrne (28 Weeks Later).  The movie revolves around a rather eccentric guy named Adam (Hugh Dancy) who has Asperger syndrome and the woman who moved on the apartment on the second floor Beth (Rose Byrne).

I didn’t even even know that there’s such a condition as Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum disorder (to think am taking up Special Ed … waaaaaaaaaaa).  That could prolly be one of the reasons why am drawn to the movie and I really do wanna see it.  There’s this part on the trailer when Adam said, “I can see that you’re upset but I don’t know what to do” and Beth said, “Could you to give me a hug”. *sigh*

Try watching the trailer and maybe like me you’d end up wanting to watch it too … or maybe you have already. I dunno …

Tempting

I’ve managed to resist all temptations of getting a new tv despite seeing that all brands of the plasma tvs are on sale for the entire week. I know window shopping would only test my self control and cause havoc to my waking moments knowing that I won’t be able to forget what was on sale. Grrrrr ….  I’ve mentioned the sale to Kaye and she said she’d check it out tomorrow. We’ll see if she’d be able to resist the temptation like I have.
