My Pink Shoelace

I have been sickly most of my adult life and speculations have it that my work environment is not helping at all so I was advised to take some vitamins to help supplement whatever food I take … assuming I take any lol. So given the advise of my quack, I am supposedly taking the best multivitamin ever created … beats the A-Z from Centrum. Yikes!

Those who know me personally would ask, “Has the world turned upside down?” if they found out that I tried my hands in the kitchen in attempts of “cooking” something edible. I have spent the last two years since mom died eating out coz am a disaster in the kitchen and when there are times when am too lazy to go out to eat then it’s either instant noodles or good ol coffee. [Not good for the health, ... oh well, I should marry a chef!]

I haven’t eaten this viand for 3 years … this reminded of two things:

1st: the summer of 2001 where I spent training to become a CAT officer. Everyone had to bring their own lunch and the first time I brought this everyone liked it so we made a deal that I’ll ask my mom to prepare one every week. We all share our food back then and it was fun.

2nd: it reminds me of mom, I love this dish for what its worth and would always grab the opportunity to ask her to prepare it whenever possible. The way she mix sugar and vinegar then spread it all over the fried bolinao then top them with lots and lots of tomatoes and onions is just … amazing.

So today, I went on VGH as usual and went to the grocers, came home and cooked … and for the first time in my 24 years I made something edible. Not burnt or half done. Just cooked.

I miss my mom *sigh*

I cannot get this song off my head. Ever since I saw “Drive Me Crazy” starring Melissa Joan Hart and Adrian Grenier, that song was played on a bar scene and it took me what seemed like a month to find out what the title was and who sang it. It even seemed like forever to download the song online.

Up until now I still cannot find the lyrics online but I am able to download the entire album “Somewhere Over the Radio” by Deadstar. I love it and wished they haven’t disbanded, it would be great to hear new albums from them.

I have been terribly busy with my swaps over at swap-bot and not to mention my getting sick every now and then, nothing minor just the usual asthma episodes and flu. Anyways, am snagging this pic over from my swapping blog; three altered matchboxes.

On the 9th of December would be mom’s second death anniversary but why does it still feel like yesterday? I have been a complete jackass since she left, I’ve completely lost my way, did stupid things to try and forget, I’ve been a loner all and through but I’m feeling more lonely and lost than before. Guess I haven’t really moved on.

Several companies often employ call center services for their customer service and technical support rather than setting up an in house department for those services. Ever wonder why? I have and one of the explanation given to me was that in house support is more expensive than contracting an off shore call center to do the job for you. Many huge companies in the US have set up contract with different BPO’s on the other side of the globe to be their customer service and tech support lines.

Most people I know believe that the online freebies you see on email advertisements which usually appear on the junk folder are just nothing but pure unadulterated adverts. But safe to say there are actually several companies and sites that do offer real freebies, some in the form of contest prizes, some for the promotion of new products. If you google for like it win it freebies it would give you several search results, or if you go for win free stuff online, it would give you several blog sites that actually offer those goodies for free if you join and win in their blog contest.

I have always been fascinated with school and all the things you could learn lets just say am a geek, with the advent of the internet several transactions are now possible online, from banking to shopping and now one could just enroll to an online university to get a degree. Must be cool to be sipping pina coladas and at the same time attending an online school. I should try that sometime.

In my dream house I want everything to be in all shades of pink, my house would probably look like a doll house isn’t that cute? I found several pink kitchen sinks online and I want something like this in my future home.

I guess I could be Barbie, only missing to make it a perfect doll house would be the wanna be Ken. Guess he isn’t born yet … lol. Or maybe he got tied in another doll house … in time he’ll come home.
