Sweet Valley Collection
My Sweet Valley book collection in one box … one of the five boxes actually that got my uncle asking if am in some mad escapade of building a library. I got several others in several boxes stashed at home and I can not imagine where I can place it should I continue to have more … so at the moment I am avoiding book shops and book stores, I lose myself when I see those 20% off tags on books.
Full time work and full time school load don’t really mix well and though several have tried to make both work but believe me something along the line one’s got to give. Take a good friend of mine for example, she’s studying full time undergrad and when the big examinations day arrive she has no choice but to go absent from work. Now as for me school has been great but I’d love to do it online and after doing a bit of research online I found an online university that offers flexible hours and unique programs to choose from. What’s great is that this is a non-profit school which makes them way cheaper than any other university. So even though you got a very busy work schedule it is still not impossible to earn a degree. Now I have been wanting to study at my own pace without having to drive physically to school so finding out several available online degree programs made me rather ecstatic, hope to get started really soon.
I am finally doing what I should have done last October 2009 but it cannot be helped as I was sick then but now I seem to be alright, thank God so I am taking the comprehensive exam for my masters degree this March and am hoping to ace this one.
I emailed my boss and our OM that I’d like to go on leave for a week so I could study and prepare for the exams and I am quite happy to say that he approved it. Yiipppeee! I reminded my team lead and she send an email to the FC’s to have it plotted whoooppeee! So in the next few days I will be busy compiling my notes and studying … time to hit the dusty library.
So wish me luck! and do pray for me guys I’d love to pass during the first try and be done with it.

I have been looking for a window blind to replace what we have; it was 2 years old and needed to retire so at the moment our window’s pretty bare. Been to the mall lately and I’ve seen several kinds of blinds to choose from but they are not on sale so I guess I’d like to wait a while and see if some of them gets the 20% off tag on them. I’d like one of those wood blinds in brown or black like the ones we used to have.

Sleeping Beauty ain’t at the top of my favorite fairy tales but watching her video I envy how she manage to sleep for up to 13 days. Heck! I had to take valium to be able to sleep for at least 12 hours straight lol.

I am going to take the exam this March [first week of March] and I cannot live with myself if I fail. Sheyt! I am book smart and it’d be a major disgrace if I don’t ace this; problem is I have been on hiatus from school for close to a year … so I’d have to cram 2 years worth of lessons into my cro-magnon skull. Grrrrr …
So safe to say I am scared shitless and I am hoping the vl I filed for a week gets approved otherwise you know what would be EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!
Tita Tonya has been complaining of joint pain every time it would rain heavily and the temperature goes surprisingly cold. I kept on telling her its a sign of aging, arthritis and a bunch of other stuff are plaguing her too and I guess the only consolation pain relievers still work at least for a little while. We’ll seek medical help next week hopefully her physician would be able to prescribed her something.
When the wintery cold season arrives leather hand gloves, bonnets, jackets, ear muffs and a whole lot more if I were in a country with heavy cold weather I’d love to have a set of pink jackets, ear muffs, gloves and a whole lot more but since I am in a tropical country I don’t get to bear boots, ear muffs and the whole lot but a close friend of mine in the States has a lot of need for them and what catches her fancy are those leather hand gloves designed by Michael Kors … a bit costly but definitely worth it or so she says.

The food was good over at Hebrews Coffee Shop and I cannot wait to go back and sample their other dishes and hopefully with my laptop with me so I can enjoy the free wi-fi. Yohoooo … so I have taken photos of the two crazy people I have met at work. Eds has become more of an extrovert kinda person who loves to point and shoot [we're talking photography here, don't get any other ideas] and Edwin a crazy lunatic I met at work if you are in need of a good laughter then call him.
Ever since a colleague from work went abroad to work couple of years back it made me want to work abroad too, you know look for greener pastures of some sort. Then last year another team mate moved abroad to Dubai to work and now I am thinking of following suit real soon; I mean people in the country have been going out of the country seeking high paying jobs and I think I should follow suit too. So better hit the net and so some searching.
Isn’t it gorgeous??!! I looooovveee the design and the stone on it. I’ve always been fascinated with loose diamonds; it’s a wonderful and one exquisite stone that is said to be every woman’s desire. I must admit I love them and would love to have a diamond engagement ring someday somehow. Whooohoooo … a diamond necklace, bracelet or earrings would prolly be the perfect ensemble.
Arthritis, wrinkles and memory loss are attributed to as signs of aging and mom’s friend hated the fact that she’s experiencing all this at the age of 50; her doctor has been given her advise on how to prevent them and has been giving her several arthritis treatments in the past year or so. She said these nuisance seems to increase as she gets older but her doctor said that with proper diet and exercise they can be alleviated.
Part of life’s cycle of aging is the many illnesses some of which we can prevent, delay from occurring or curing at the onset of impact. Usually as a result of proper health care and healthy lifestyle these illnesses could be overcome; several people with rheumatoid arthritis have managed to get back on their feet, socialize and live their lives as close to normal as possible which is endearing, takes a whole lot of courage and discipline. Tales like these from real people overcoming this illness render great strength for those who are currently dealing with it. For those who are not sure how to proceed or are in need of help then there are several counseling groups and therapeutic centers to help them out.
I have been asked several times what my profession is and instead of saying … am a licensed elementary school teacher, I’d end up saying, “I am licensed to corrupt minds”. So I have the license card to prove it but none of the experience that’s suppose to go with it.
I had this conversation with the Dean of Commerce back in my 3rd year in college … I was typing out some documents for her in the office and she was very busy with the upcoming review for the licensure exams when I asked ..
Moi: Ma’am Rose, how does your PRC ID look like?
So the dean took her wallet from her bag and showed me her ID … it says “Certified Public Accountant”
Dean: When you pass the board exams soon your ID would have “Professional Teacher” on it.
I made a face which made her laugh and asked why, I said … mine would sound so ordinary so plain while hers well it was classy at least I thought so when I was 18.
So 3 years ago I took the exams and passed got my ID and looked at my face staring back at with the inscription beneath, Professional Teacher; since I still think it’s pretty ordinary when anyone ask what am licensed to do … I’d always say … I’m Licensed to Corrupt Minds.
There sounds better. Nyahahahaaahaha.
A photo of her in a toga and graduation cap was printed and distributed as what her mom would like to call photo graduation announcements and it also serve as the invitation to attend her graduation come third week of March. Thank goodness my mom was not as flamboyant as hers or I would have died of sheer embarrassment; the photo didn’t do her justice … lol she’s way prettier in person guess she’s not photogenic. Nyahahaa *evil laugh*
In the dream house I have pictured out in my head would have a large pond plus a grotto somewhere on the backyard so when I saw several pond kits out online that are being used in several homes in the United States. There are several home designers who would actually recommend what size would complement your house and where to put it. So maybe when I get to have my dream house built I’ll hire an interior decorator and get a beautiful pond to match.
