I am not a devotee, I was not raised one. I was raised a Catholic but my mom was not the type of mother who would wake up their kids early Sunday morning to prepare and go to church. She used to tell me that God is everywhere but most importantly HE is in our hearts and we can talk to him wherever and whenever we want to. If not attending a mass is a sin it is a much bigger sin to attend one because you see it as an obligation. She said quite a huge percentage of people attending the mass must have only been half listening at the sermon and that is a much bigger sin.
I would only attend mass when my heart tells me too and it hasn’t been frequent but I talk to God before I go to sleep and when I wake up, thanking HIM for giving me another day. There was a time when I felt extremely guilty at having read so many books but could never get past “In the beginning” whenever I try to read the Bible. The font is just so small, it is in two columns and the onion skin does not really make it very conducive to reading. When I shared this dilemma to a friend she said I should get a Picture Bible and I did. So now am on to reading the Bible both the old and the new testament.
Doi, Ed and I watched this movie last night and safe to say I like it. I have this “nonsense” policy of reading the book first before watching the movie but since a copy of this book has been sold out in all major bookstores in the city I had to choice to go see the movie first. I have made reservations for a copy of the book and cannot wait to read it. A friend of mine from work mentioned awhile back that the book is somewhat dragging but after reading the reviews on several websites I am convinced to give it a shot.
Many said that despite seeing Julia Roberts as luminous as ever the movie lacked the depth portrayed in the book. So reading this book the moment new stocks arrive is a priority.
A friend of mine whose birthday is fast approaching has been dropping off hints on what he’d like to get for his birthday. It has been our tradition to celebrate the birthdays and give presents since 2006. What he wants is one of those bushnell binoculars and Lucy suggested that a week before his birthday we go check it out at the mall and buy it. Expenses would then be divided amongst the 5 of us, that should make him very happy.
I have been surfing the web aimlessly and after clicking on so many links I ended up finding two very pink and girly looking toilets. Can you believe it? Now I can’t help imagining a pink house with pink living room, pink kitchen and a pink bathroom and of course a pink bedroom. Wouldn’t that be heavenly? It’s like living in Barbie Land.
The web has been full of reviews on several products. including vitamins and best fat loss supplement. Checking them out one by one before deciding which brand to go for is the best way to go. Though someone did mention that going for diet pills is not a good idea especially when there are more healthy ways to lose weight like dieting and exercising. But of course there are those who would want to do it without all the hassle that goes with it.

October 8, 2010 – RJ and Vince tied the knot at Consolacion Municipal Hall. The reception took place at Golden Cowrie Lahug, it was an intimate affair attended by family and close friends.
Back at the mall the other day I noticed this woman checking out books from the book shop. I’m not sure if it was the outfit or the redness of her face. At first I thought it was an excessive use of blush on but for some reason a friend said that it was a condition known as Rosacea which could be caused by a lot of things. She also said that if this woman has already been through a dermatologist then she has probably started some sort of rosacea treatment which would usually show effects during the third or fourth week.
Halloween is fast approaching and a friend of mine has been planning her own Halloween party. To create her party invitation she chose to use postcards with Halloween themes to work on. She told us that she went to several shops but realized that most of the designs are very common and generic so she ended up searching the web for a post card printing company. She already has the postcard design and needs to have them printed in high quality.
I bought a copy of the book (Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami) about 2 years ago and swore that I would read it the moment I got free time on my hands. This did not happen though and the book like all my other books are carefully stored in the many boxes I have piled up at home. 2 years after [2010] I finally realized that the book will be made into a movie which would star my favorite Japanese actor of all times [Kenichi Matsuyama] I vowed to read the book before the movie would be released, not able to figure out which box I placed my copy of the book I went out and bought another one. Finished the book and fell in love with it … no wonder this book made Haruki Murakami a celebrity in his own country. It is anything but a simple love story … the twist and turns, the dilemma that Toru has to face between his love for the beautiful Naoko and the vivacious Midori … is very captivating. You would not want to put the book down until it’s finish.
Norwegian Wood is a Beatles song which has been mentioned in the book several times as it is a favorite of the beautiful Naoku. At 37 the narrator (Toru Watanabe) landed in Germany and heard an orchestral rendition of Norwegian Wood and he was overwhelmed with memories of his college years which brought him back to 1960′s when he was just 17 and the story unfolds.
I love it I love it I love it. I said that too much right? If you are in the market looking for your next book to read then please get a copy of this novel, you won’t regret it.

The movie is directed by Tran Anh Hung and will be released in Japan this December. It stars the following:
Jovie and I were talking once (a long time ago) about anime and TV series and she told me that she is not really a huge fan of animes but there’s one she really liked, a live action series was made out of it entitled Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi). I committed the title to memory and searched the web for it.
Just finished watching it and I fell in love with the series, whew! I could watch this over and over and still get the same rush. Love it! I remembered us talking once wondering if we could order such a thing … nyahahaha. The ending theme of this Japanese Drama is also very pleasing to the ears (even though I don’t understand the lyrics), if you are a Japanese fan (like moi) then include this series in your To Watch List.

Losing weight is very difficult but gaining them is as simple as 1,2,3. If you are not mindful of what you are eating then before you know it you have already gained several pounds. A friend said that if you want to maintain your current weight it is only a matter of exercise and discipline. I thought that’s easier said than done.
