Saturday night I found myself coercing Mitchy into joining me for dinner at Ayala. Since she was already at work she cannot take off and just go to Ayala and said I should go to IT Park instead. Okay fine! LOL So I went there and we ate at Chowabunga, God I miss their Katsudon. It must have been ages since I was last there and the place hasn’t changed much … no I take that back, it hasn’t changed at all. After dinner Mitchy went back to work while I went to Starbucks with the intention of working on my pending papers for school (I got four!). It used to be my old haunt … I got this favorite spot which was quite secluded and when I got there it was vacant, I was thankful.
After about 30 minutes of peace … a bunch of Koreans entered took the table across from mine and spent the next hour or so talking and laughing in a pretty loud voice it was bloody hard to concentrate. A little further away was a Med student who looked quite annoyed at the noise and it seems like I wasn’t the only one bothered by it. I used to be so good at tuning other people out but for that instance I wasn’t able to. I decided to go home instead … *sigh*.
Lesson learned … no more staying at Starbucks … gotta look for a secluded coffee shop somewhere.

I took this prolly on my third day in Singapore; somewhere near Sunshine Plaza, ground floor of the Kaplan Building. I was waiting for KKnM to open; by the time I got to Sunshine Plaza it was close to 12 noon and I realized KKnM doesn’t open till 1:30 PM. With nothing to do … I saw my favorite coffee shop back home and decided to take a sip as I watch the “world go by”. I ordered what I always order back home, Signature Hot Chocolate – Venti [see? am an addict lol] and waited … watched and ponder on things I’ve never had time to think about.
Somethings just don’t change wherever I go, seeing Starbucks is like coming home after a stressful day …

MJ used to say and she still does say it out loud that I am strict in person. Well, I don’t talk to strangers (mom’s golden rule), I avoid eye contact which is an opening for conversation with strangers, my eyebrows always seem to meet at the middle and most often than not I hide behind my earphones to avoid people from talking to me directly. Yeah yeah yeah … that’s me. Pretty uptight huh?
Now the last time I was there with Doi, we didn’t meet anyone not that there weren’t any worth meeting but because Doi and I are pretty much tight lipped. But this year with MJ with me it was amazing, being friendly sure brings quite a lot of fun. Talk and talk about everything under the sun.
Thanks to MJ I befriended Wuteim (an Israeli), Sala (an Egyptian who now lives in Denmark) and the pretty Marietta (from England but she’s Polish). Guess coz we’re girls we were pretty much close to Marietta what with dinner and drinks as well as breakfast together either at her place or at ours. It was pretty cool.
Here are some of the photos taken.

After work as has been my routine the last few days I head straight to the gym. I did my usual lapse on the treadmill, the bicycle, the stair master and on the weights. Hehehe spent 2 to 3 hours in the gym and afterwards spent another blogging session with Benita on Starbucks. Learned a few things about the wiz of globequest … met a very cute 2 year old baby girl and continued on our blogging escapade.

Drugged after 1 tall Venti Signature Hot Chocolate and 1 honey-glazed doughnut. Benita and Moi fooling around the web, dreaming of plans, like school, blogging and what not. We’re both interested in going back to school, just a short term course for Creative Web Development, am not sure when this would come to fruition but am loving the idea just the same.
